Q: Will this fit a Danuser F8 auger?
2 years ago1 Answer
- A: I don't believe this will work for you. Our augers are for 2" round gearbox shafts and I believe the Danuser uses a 2-9/16" shaft. I also believe the attaching bolts are in different locations.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this work in Texas Hill Country Soil/Limestone?
3 years ago1 Answer
- A: I don't really recommend any augers for limestone, especially on a 3-pt post hole digger. The 6" HD auger will work great for typical soil but if you have big areas of limestone it will not work. 3-pt post hole diggers can't apply down force and limestone doesn't fracture. We have rock augers for skid steers that are a better option for limestone and that still poses a problem as the rock auger will carve a bowl in the limestone. Our rock augers are capable of auguring through concrete and used with extremely rocky soil but limestone doesn't fracture well. Give us a call and we can better explain.3 years agoHelpful?

Good at digging through dense soil, ok durability
10 months ago
We got this bit because we were having trouble digging through our clay soil with the older bit we had and it didn’t have the extra metal clips at the bottom to help it dig. This bit definitely made quicker progress than the other bit. The only reason I am not giving it 5stars is because some of the small rocks we hit digging 3 holes managed to bend and roll parts of the drill bit in the mid section of the bit. So even though it digs better than our other bit it doesn’t seem as durable. Regardless happy with our purchase we were able to get our fence posts drilled out.
