WoodEpox is a light-weight, non-sagging, moldable wood replacement compound. It is used to make both structural and aesthetic repairs to rotted, damaged, or missing wood. WoodEpox permanently fills voids and will not shrink or delaminate from the substrate. It can easily be machined, sanded, nailed, and painted, and can be colored with powered dyes and pigments if staining is required. Repairs windows, columns, doors, clapboards, millwork, furniture, and more. Ideal for both exterior and interior repairs. Continually specified for use on historic homes and buildings. For best results, use with LiquidWood. WoodEpox has a 20-30 minute pot life and can be mixed and molded by hand.

Contains 6 oz of resin (Part A) and 6 oz of hardener (Part B). Product is easily mixed at a 1/1 ratio. WoodEpox is a 100% solids, solvent-free epoxy. GREENGUARD certified for virtually no VOCs. Non-hazardous product; safe to use in both exterior and interior applications.
Pro Tip: Apply WoodEpox while the LiquidWood is still tacky for a quick and more efficient repair.

  • REPAIR ROTTED WOOD: Use WoodEpox to fill and restore any missing sections of wood.
  • NON-SLUMPING: WoodEpox is a lightweight epoxy putty that can be built up thick and will not slump.
  • NO SHRINKAGE: Will not shrink, delaminate, crack, or crumble.
  • 20 MINUTE WORK TIME: WoodEpox has a working time (pot life) of 20-30 minutes and can be mixed and molded by hand (with gloves). Plenty of time to easily sculpt, form, mold, and tint.

Q&As

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Can a small amount of stain be added to the mix to make it match my damaged hardwood floor or can I use a Minwax wood finish penetrating stain after it dries?

1 Answer
  • A: You should only tint the WoodEpox with a dry powder pigment. WoodEpox accepts a stain on the surface, but it does not soak in.

WoodEpox excellent for molding/sculpting

Well worth the money if you're looking for a filler that holds form yet gives an adequate work time to shape. I've tried many others, and either they harden too quickly or don't hold shape well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Back Porch Post Repair

This product worked just as advertised and is the reason I purchased it. I needed a putty like substance that would work in the rot of the Back porch post. It was fantastic. I loved it and it was so easy to manipulate into the repair needed.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have used this product for roughly 20 years. If mixed and used properly, it has never failed to perform. Repairs have lasted for many years!! It's a little pricey but worth every penny!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great product for wood that needs a little work

Preceded by the wood hardener, the WoodEpox did a great job filling in where rot had taken over. It's a great product. I also appreciated the help of the good folks at UC Coatings.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great stuff!

I was surprised that the compounds felt so dry to the touch when I started mixing, but they became more pliable as I mixed. Overall, it did a great job, in fact, better than I expected. I'm so pleased.

Yes, I recommend this product.

The only wood epoxy I will ever use!

It's easy to use: mixing, shaping, sanding. But the real difference is over time, the other ones I have tried have fallen away, Abatron never has!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great stuff

I have had to repair a lot of beams on our house. The tops of the beams were painted and the water would enter and couldnt escape causing a lot of dry rot. This product is easy to mix and apply and I wait five days to sand and shape the logs so they look like new. I am so happy I found this product

Mixing 2 part Abatron adhesive

The product works well. The white bucket had pre hardened material that I had to either pick out or try to break apart. This should not have been part of the kit.

Misleading

misleading on your website I though we were getting 12 0Z part A and 12OZ part B. Instead it was 6 OZ part A and 6 Oz part B. Very pricey for that amount. We used to buy it in 1 gallon tubes for each part. From Arbratron.

Very easy to use! You can work at an easy pace and not rush as needed with most 2-part epoxy products. Easy to sand and shape if needed!
