The chair has to be the kids' size because it's literally for kids, which is not tall, is the size of a kid, my daughter is 6 years and 4 feet tall, and she can put her chair and still sit. they love it they play with their toys on target table, eat, dotheire school work. The kids sat at the kid size chairs and I was able to sit on the floor comfortably and assist them. Setting up the table was a breeze. I wished it folded in half for easier storage but it is a very strong and sturdy table. I didn't have to worry when my kids leaned on it, if it would flip over. It's solid! It is on the heavier side but it is high quality. Once we were done making the cookies it was easy to wipe down and fold back up. I cannot wait to use this in the future for get together with family and friends! It truly is the perfect kids sized table.
