Warning: Improper Hay Storage Practices

Warning: Do not buy hay from this store. During my last visit, power equipment was being stored inside the hay trailer, and I could clearly smell gasoline fumes. Hay can absorb odors and contaminants, which raises serious concerns about quality and safety for animals. Management either knows very little about proper hay and feed storage practices, or simply doesn't care. Fuel, gas-powered equipment, and animal feed should never be stored together. I would not feel comfortable feeding hay stored under these conditions to my animals.

This bale was loaded with dried manure chunks or dirt clots, which was awful since I feed it to pet indoor rabbits.
