The Ghost Controls Manor Series gate opener can be made into a solar gate opener by adding either a 10 W or 30 W solar panel to your kit (sold separately). This product is quiet, has a great remote range of up to 1,000 ft., and is one of the easiest DIY gate openers on the market to install. The Ghost Controls gate opener does not come with a battery (a 12V battery is required).
