You’ve either just bought a gun safe or you’re looking at moving the one you own. Either way, your gun safe is a great addition to keep your valuables safe. Moving your gun safe is not a one-person job and requires some prep work to ensure a safe and easy move. Follow these safety tips for moving a gun safe.
Planning ahead will help your move go smoothly. Clear the area where your safe is going. Measure the new space and clear a path to the new location. If you are moving a safe that already holds your personal belongings, clean it out before you move anything.
Asking friends, family or neighbors for help with the heavy lifting is a must. Moving a gun safe is not a one-person job and will require 3-4 people. Having help will distribute the weight of your gun safe, making this move safe for everyone. A moving dolly, hand truck or lifting straps are helpful tools to use.
