Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made. This Muzzle is well made of quality nylon and leather. The plastic (PVC) restricter is made of quality material unlike others which if have encountered. Be cautious when you purchase products containing plastics form china as some are made of inferior toxic materials high in melamine. These are not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Leather Grazing Muzzle Purchased this leather grazing muzzle almost a year ago and it has worked well. My horse finally rubbed a hole in it this winter so I am buying a new one. It is advertised as leather, but the mesh of the muzzle I think is actually nylon. The end has a hole that allows the horse to get limited grass and drink water, but won't let him overgraze. It is easy to put on, but I have to use it with a halter so the horse can't rub or brush it off. Kept my horse from foundering when the grass was rich.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy to remove...for the horse! We bought this muzzle for an overweight gelding. Within a day he figured out how to rub the whole thing off. After the fourth time of riding the fields to retrieve this muzzle, we retired it and bought another one. I assume this would work nicely for someone who's horse is not so determined to get his grass. For us it was a bust though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasted 2 days! Waste of money. My pony had it broken the first day...we fixed it with some platic lock ties and it was completely destroyed the next morning....trash!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product My horse had foundered due to being obese. She wound up in the vet due to an injury, and they got the extra weight off. I invested in Weaver's grazing muzzle, and it has done the job. Primrose is able to still run and play with the other horse, but I now control the amount of grass she eats. I'm going to buy another one for my other horse. However, I'm going to have to have TSC to order me a large, because the medium will not fit my other horse which is 17 HH.

Would this product fit a 200 # dog? He is a St. Bernard and regular dog products are always to small.

Asked by: Kayselbon
This item is for a horse only. It would be too large for a dog. Please see measurements below. Measurements for the average grazing muzzle; Side = approx. 6”. Bottom = approx. 5&5/8”. Top/opening across = approx. 7&1/2”.
