Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst pellet stove I've ever bought I've had nothing but problems with this the cord has lit on fire twice with nothing around it. I've had to replace the auger and if it wasnt for my dad I dont think I would have had heat this winter. The codes it gives dont help at all in the book half of them mean the same thing and somehow "unplugging it when possible" is supposed to fix everything. Highly would not recommend this pellet stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vogelzang Pellet Stove! I purchased this stove last fall, prior to Winter Freezing Temps. I heat a 1,500 Square Foot Pole Building with it. With the Thermostat set on 45 Degrees. It has maintained burning One 40 Pound Bag of Pellets each day. When 20 Degrees outside, on the lowest setting it maintains 55 Degrees. When it's 32 Degrees outside, it maintains 64 Degrees. When 40 Degrees outside, it maintains 72 Degrees and with all Temps, it still only burns One Bag of Pellets per 24 Hour period! I am extremely Happy with this stove. I vacuum the Ash out once per week. Sometimes I get busy and clean as long as 1.5 week. It will quite if you totally ignore cleaning the Burn Box. But it's a easy task to clean.

Will the stove safely run on a 3500 watt UL approved,110 V gas generator with a built in surge protector, in case of power outage? Are line conditioners required?

Asked by: Doc P
The generator must be 1,000 Watt rated, deep cycle marine battery with a pure sine wave inverter.

I see you said if using a masonary chimney you will need a pellet vent pipe. Is that if it is over 15ft or is that no matter how tall the chimney. I will be running the pipe through my wall into the chimney

Asked by: Hunter0721
If you plan to run your pellet pipe into an existing chimney, you will need to run the pellet pipe all the way to the top of the chimney for proper operation. The reason you need to do this is because your pellet stove is designed and programmed for pellet pipe which is 3" or 4" in diameter. most masonry chimneys are 6" or greater. This will put additional back pressure on the exhaust blower decreasing the amount of air it will move. This reduced air will cause errors in the stove vacuum switches and it will burn poorly. If over 15 feet, please use 4" pipe to reduce air restrictions.

I have a old coal that I want to replace with this pellet stove, can I use the existingjf chimney

Asked by: Mjlf
You must use 3 to 4 inch pellet pipe. You cannot use just the chimney for the exhaust.
