Are these bricks food safe, do they give of toxic fumes or chemicals in a grill?

Asked by: Joe1066
These are used in our pizza oven, wood stoves and can be used to make a fire pit. We don't recommend cooking directly on the bricks as we have not tested this method.

My wood stove calls for "refractory" firebrick. Does this product qualify as such?

Asked by: WoodstoveWinters
No. These are used to line our fireboxes. The refractory board is more of a insulation that sits in the top of the stove. All of our refractory boards are available for purchase.

Can these bricks be used in a propane forge?

Asked by: Jim60
The safety of these bricks have been tested in correlation with our units, therefore we cannot recommend using these as we have not tested in this manner. However, many people have used these to build a fire pit.

Can these bricks be used as a lining for a small forge? I have hard fire bricks for the outside, but need soft "insulating" firebricks for the interior. Also, what is the max temperature these bricks can handle? Thanks.

Asked by: Jamzwayne

Are these bricks good for a fireplace? Do they come in other colors?

Asked by: soccer1
They are, unfortunately they only come in the sand color.

I purchased a galvanized fire ring. I don't know what to use to put that ring on. Maybe the ground would be ok? Would these also be an option?

Asked by: tbonestl
Those firebricks would probably be perfect for that. They are designed to withstand great amounts of heat but we can't suggest them for any use outside of lining a stove.
