if I build a little shed next to house and insulate the room next to my furnace is only 12 feet away from outer wall will this work, the only other choice I have is to put it in spare bed room witch is 12x12

Asked by: aeon
Yes, as long as you meet the clearance to combustibles you can do this. However, keep in mind that the return air must pull back from the home in order to circulate the warm air back so this will increase the efficiency. Also keep in mind the blowers will only push a max of 40 ft through a standard size heat duct. That is usually 13 x 18.

Although this model doesn't have a thermostat included, can I install one? If so, which one would work best?

Asked by: MikeKnew
Yes you can. The manufacturer suggests to use the model # 80779 thermostat.

Can I connect this to new ductwork. I have forced hot water with radiators. So I am basically going to put new ductwork in and connect to the wood stove. I have the second clue system already in the chimney system

Asked by: SandyNH
Yes, you can hook this up alone to new ductwork.

Can this unit be put outside in a attached shed. My shed is attached to the building and is made of concrete block sk the unit would be out of the ekements.

Asked by: Plissken25
This unit is designed to set in a basement or Garage in order to recirculate the heat from the home through a return air so it can blow heat into the home at about 73% efficient. Setting the unit outside will cut your efficiency down to 50% also keep in mind the blowers on this unit are a total of 1100 cfm and will push your air about 40 ft max this counting all the main trunk under the house. All that to say, you can put this in the area you are asking just be prepared for the low efficiency.
