Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great in my home I’m on winter #3 with this wood furnace and I haven’t had an issue. Only thing I notice I will need to replace is the fire bricks. I highly recommend this furnace. Keeps it 80 degrees in my 2300 sq ft single story home when it’s below 20 degrees outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s been very dependable I bought this stove in November 2008 I have never had a single problem with it I keep my blowers oiled and put filters over the blowers. All these years I only now have to change one shaker great I burn from November to mid April nonstop would definitely buy again and I have recommended it to multiple people and they have had no issues over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I pulled the trigger on this thing last year before winter. I have a 2 story house with a full basement. My house had no heating source whatsoever. Only remnants of a coal furnace. I ran about 25-30 ft of ductwork off the back outlet (the strongest one) with a register in the kitchen, downstairs bedroom and living room. I let the front outlet just blow into the basement. Being my first wood burner I never burnt it hot enough and clogged the chimney which was totally my fault. But after I got it down the house easily reached 80 degrees. The heat just naturally rose to the top floor. I've only used it one season like I said but I have nothing bad to say at all. Ash pan is huge and easy to empty. I started burning locust towards the end and the heat and burn time was great. I clocked 7 hours a few times burning low. On Oak it was about 5-6. It was hard to burn it hot because it just got too hot in the house. Easy to control the burn just with the bottom door. Never installed a flue damper. Just run it like it came. Didn't install the cold air return either. Just added temp gauges.

Why can't you burn wood n this stove?

Asked by: wanasrx
United States Stove Company has traditionally sold multi-fuel furnaces that were able to burn wood and coal. Before May 15, 2017 these appliances could be sold and marketed as wood and coal burning products. After May 15, 2017 these appliances may only be sold and marketed as coal only burning appliances. The physical product has not changed, only the laws concerning the sale of these products have changed.
