This super heavyweight Tough1 1200D Waterproof Poly Turnout Blanket with Adjustable Snuggit Neck is made of a 1200 denier waterproof ripstop poly outer shell with a 210 denier lining and 300 grams of poly fill. This horse blanket features the Tough1 adjustable Snuggit™ neck which allows for a more custom fit. This blanket also includes other features such as a fleece wither protection, crossed surcingles with elastic ends, adjustable and replaceable leg straps with elastic ends, adjustable double buckle front with snap closures, tail flap that reduces tail breakage, and shoulder gussets that allow freedom of movement.

Here you go There is also a video link listed below Simply copy and paste it into your cellphone or computers website browser to view. https://youtu.be/60vt3h3jfYU MEASURING YOUR HORSE FOR A BLANKET 1. Using a string, have a helper hold the end in the center of your horse's chest where his neck and chest meet. Pull the string around the side (covering the largest parts of the shoulder and stomach) and end in the center of the horse's rump area. 2. Mark the length of the string with a marker (or cut it if you don't mind sacrificing your string). We'll measure this in the next step. 3. Lay the string flat and use a tape measure to find the length. The length in inches is the size of horse sheet or blanket your horse will need. If the measurement falls between two sizes, round up to the larger size for the best fit. NOTE: if you own a fabric style tape measure that is long enough for this task, skip the string and use the flexible tape measure! But don't cut it... that would be bad!3 years agoHelpful?

Q: I have a 17.2 hand thoroughbred. I think an 84 is the right size but I'm having trouble measuring him. Any ideas on fitting your blanket on him? He's very tall but also very lean.

- A: We suggest that the horse be measured starting at the center of the chest then going across the side/rib cage and ending at the center of the tail. For example, if the horse measures 74" please round up to the 75". Tough 1 blankets have enough adjustment allowing a proper fit.4 years agoHelpful?

I dont blanket all the time during winter, but i like to be prepared. I have 5 of these Tough 1 blankets 1200d 300g poly fill. They have adjustable neck straps which help give a better custom fit for your horse. They come in a variety of sizes and colors and are very durable and warm on those single digit nights. I have 2 younger horses and 2 22+ year old horses and even have one for my 38 year old donkey. They stay where they belong when adjusted and fitted correctly. I would definitely recommend these for anyone searching for a warm durable blanket.

This blanquet is very high quality. It does a great job keeping our horse warm on the nights in Tennessee that are below 20 degrees. Seems to be really tough material.

Hardware broke after two weeks. Both chest straps snaps broke. Definitely faulty parts. Found out another new Tough1 blanket at the barn broke exactly the same way.

Have used this brand in the past and they hold up extremely well. Since our horse are getting older and the winters are getting colder, decided to go with the 1200D which is up from the 600D we have now.

Only Blanket I’ll Buy

I’ve used this blanket for years. I think one of them is almost a decade old. If you take care of it and store it nicely in the summer, it’ll take care of your horse in the winter. The snug neck is so nice when it comes to ensuring fit. It moves with the horse, keeps the horse nice and warm, and no rain gets through. There’s no need for me to get any other blanket when I can get this one!
