Rated 1 out of 5 by from Neighbors garage I waited until fall because mice are not much of a problem until then. We put them in neighbor garage were he has mouse problems. He has not caught any in your traps, but has caught some in other traps. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic mouse traps , Tomcat Mouse Killer a joke! I've bought 6 Tomcat Mouse Killer's from Lowe's . Three have broken plastic parts, I mailed in my receipt for one, with the original before the other two broke, that is 3/5 that have broken after 1, 2 uses. In my garage next to wall It killed 2 adults, and 1 little guy; however, they now eat all the Melted Cheese, Peanut Butter, or even Molasses that I have filled the little circle cup with. None get caught, but every day the item that I cited is gone. Are they using a straw, figured out how to avoid the trap but get the goodies..I don't know. But give the survival rate of the product 2,3 times always empty and not sprung, I see it as a bad product or investment. Daniel in High Point, NC *where can I email my pictures of broken holding arm after 2,3 uses?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did nothing Gave it a week and it did nothing. Rat do-do was all over the area but the trap was left alone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major Dissapointment This product certainly misses the mark. I would say the laboratory testing is extremely flawed. I had several of these Tomcats in a concentrated area of several mice and none were eaten. I later switched to the old fashion spring snap trap and killed many.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best poison I've ever used. I tried many things and once I put these down, within weeks, there was not one mouse left.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from False Traps & Escaping Mice We set up 2 of the live release traps, and both of them had false triggers (meaning they trapped absolutely nothing with the peanut butter and dog cookie - which the mice have been getting into - still there), and one of the mice even escaped one of the traps AFTER eating the peanut butter and dog treats. Definitely don’t recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked very well! We live near the woods, the mice had taken up residence in our home during the winter and never left, you could hear them in the walls and ceiling of every room, despite having cats, who would bring me at least one dead one a day (eww) they were multiplying. I am a catch and release type of girl but this was out of hand. I have 8 children, 3 small ones, we have a menagerie of pets, cats, dogs, bunnies, ferrets, etc...I was worried if the cats or dogs caught a poisoned mouse, but read up on it and there wasn’t any issues I could find if they did catch a poisoned mouse. Placed bait stations everywhere! Within 2 days no more running through the walls, no more scratching, no more chewing and no more mouse droppings. I would recommend this product 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! This product does as it says it will and traps mice and can easily be reused. And it is near impossible for kids or pets to penetrate the little station trap. But it certainly brought in the mouse that has driving me crazy by running around my patio!! We are now mouse free. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The mice are gone I use this product primarily in my garage and my basement to keep any mouse that might get in to quickly leave. I have seen no evidence of mice in either location and will continue to use this project to proactively keep them in check. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is sturdy This is a very sturdy apparatus and I did catch a mouse. I set it again but have not found any more mice. Maybe the mice are finally staying away! I found the device very easy to use and to dispose of the captured varmit. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from defective traps I bought two vintage mouse traps the other day from my local grocery store, one works the other can’t even set it into place without it snapping because where to place the bait is stretched slightly too far. Very disappointed and will be buying different traps next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and easy to use Used in my shed and garage and didn’t see a mouse so I say it works easy to use and safe from prying little hands and pets but I would still put it in places they cannot get too better safe then sorry. Found a few dead mice so working [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kangaroo Mouse still alive after 3 days I caught a mounse in my tub, so I put in a new Tomcat Mouse killer. After 3 Days he is still alive. It has eaten off a corner of the green block and still alive. How long does it take. Not sure this stuff is as good as I thought it was.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn’t catch any mice I believe my mice found a new home. I was really hoping to trap a few critters, but didn’t.sorry.Im leaving it in my garage and maybe I will catch some. I was reluctant to handle A stuck mouse. Anyway we’ll see next fall. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I have tried. This Winter I ended up with 6 mice caught in the Tomcat refillable station on my work bench in the basement. I believe I caught the whole family. This product works as advertised and I will continue to use it every Winter as I cannot tell where the mice are coming in. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product if you got pets or kids This mouse bait is secure enough my dog hasn't destroyed it as she has with other pest baits. Who needs to worry if a pet, or worse yet, a child gets into a bait station. I placed mine in an area where I've had a problem and haven't seen the mice since in that area. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I bought this weeks ago and set it where the mouse goes. I noticed over several days that the mouse was eating the poison, but it wasn't dying. I don't know if I was doing it wrong, but if a mouse is eating it over several days and not dying, it's a little concerning. I went with another alternative. I wouldn't recommend tomcat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love that it is child and pet proof. I put this in my attic. I don't have any outcomes specific yet, but I can say I don't hear as many little feet scampering around or scratching and my "attack cat" (lol) is not looking up at the ceiling as much. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely works! I read reviews saying negative things, BUT I love this product & highly recommend it! 1st off, I don’t have children living in my home & no pets either. I set the trap out & decided after reading reviews to just put the actual GREEN BAIT out solitairy on its own. Bc I have active mice/rodent problem. Well guess what? The next morning baits were gone!! I set out again the green baits solely & only 1/2 were eaten BUT I found dead mice & a couple rats! This product works! I am going to highly recommend to family & friends!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to set and leave Place this product in my garage to help with the mice that were running all over. Mice loved the bait and was super easy to replace bait once gone. Love the fact the dog can’t get to the bait. Mice treatment made easy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use Put this in the garage and worked well caught the little mouse right away. Will keep using. Easy to use and no mess. I keep this in the garage all year long. Hopefully no more mice will get in but if they do i will be ready [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caught 0 mice. This product did not work at all. I caught 6 mice in my house total within 1 week and ZERO of them were caught by this. I had to buy sticky traps instead. Those caught every single one. They literally walked right past this as if it wasn't there. I threw away my receipt since it was guaranteed, I stupidly assumed it would work. Waste of time and money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very convenient I like the fact that this mouse killer can't be accessed by either my grandkids or by any of the pets. I haven't seen any mice running around, so I'm guessing either the station is full of them or they just stayed away. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good item for controlling varmits This was an easy to use, efficient, well thought out product that I would recommend to others having a rat/mouse problem. Liked the fact that pets could not access the bait and it was not a danger to them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tomcat Live Catch innovative yes, might work if you stayed with the trap to immediately release a mouse if you caught one, mice chewed there way out overnight, used these particular traps in my chicken coop which is the size of a shed, caught and released 2 mice the 3rd morning and reset for 4th night , went out early morning hours and looked at the traps assuming mice were in them and picked up to see side chewed away on 2 traps

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Received this item during the winter and had to wait till warm weather arrive to put outside. After putting it out and waiting for the warm weather I was shocked at how well it worked. Another great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from mice easy to use, minor problem, but we do see occasions; signs of mouse presence and after using itd found no dead critters. Hopefully, using periodically will eliminate most mice.relatively low cost and apparently effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

No description, photo, or illustration how this works. Is it mechanical? How does it kill? No info on how it works, or is it reusable?

Asked by: Moco Mag
Thank you for your interest in the Tomcat Rat Killer Disposable Station (TSC SKU#101519399). The product consists of a Plastic Bait Station which is pre-filled with 4 oz of Rodent Bait Blocks. Place the station in areas where there are signs of rodent activity (gnaw marks, damage, droppings, etc.). Rats (or mice) will enter the station, feed on the bait and die. There is no mechanical "trap" or mechanism to kill the rodent. Each Station contains enough bait (4oz) to kill up to 10 rats, or up to 48 mice. Once the bait is gone, the station can be thrown out. It is disposable, not to be re-used, so there is no need to access or handle any actual bait. I hope you find this answer helpful. Please feel free to visit our website at www.motomco.com for additional information.

How long does it take this product to kill the rats or mice?

Asked by: Nanu2018
The active ingredient in this product is Bromethalin, which is an acute, non-anticoagulant. Once a rat or mouse has eaten a lethal dose, it will kill them in 2 or more days, which is faster than anticoagulant baits that use other actives such as Diphacinone or Bromadiolone.

I have dogs, a cat and parrots in my house. The mice are well fed. No traps have worked thus far and I would like to use bait to try to rid myself of these pests. I fear one of my animals coming in contact with a "baited" mouse. How safe is this?

Asked by: laehop
We get questions all the time from people with concerns about "secondary poisoning" (pets coming into contact with mice that have eaten the bait and died). The bait in all of our Refillable and Disposable stations contains the active ingredient Bromethalin, which is an acute, non-anticoagulant active. Bromethalin will start to kill mice faster than other baits, so they consume less overall and there is less chance of the toxin building up in their system. In fact, there has never been a documented case of secondary poisoning with Bromethalin in dogs, cats or birds. We always recommend that you dispose of any dead rodents as quickly as possible, and also remove any food sources that could be attracting mice as part of your rodent control program. Good luck!

If I put this outside, can squirrels get to the bait

Asked by: MLW62
We haven't done any testing with squirrels to determine whether they can enter the station (or whether the bait would have any effect on them either). The station is "Tier 1" certified, which means it's resistant to tampering by children and dogs and is approved for outdoor use. However, squirrels come in a variety of species and sizes and anyone with a bird feeder knows how tenacious they are when they want access to food. If you have concerns about the bait possibly poisoning them, I would recommend using the station indoors. An alternative option, if your main issue is with mice vs rats, is to purchase a mouse-sized bait station with a smaller entry hole that squirrels would not be able to access.

Is this safe to put in a chicken coop?

Asked by: tom1953
Thank you for inquiring about Tomcat Rat Killer Disposable Kid and Dog Resistant Station. We would not recommend placing bait stations anywhere that animals would be confined. Please contact us at the following link with any other inquiries that you may have: http://tinyurl.com/gn22bh6

can you reload the bait if problem persists

Asked by: robinmac
This particular product is a Disposable station - it is designed to be thrown away once the bait has been consumed. However, Tractor Supply does sell a Refillable version of this station that is approximately the same size. TSC's code # is 109529199 - it is available at most TSC store locations.
