Rated 1 out of 5 by from ON my second one Bought one. Got home, wired it up one post at a time. Hooked the battery back up and the starter immediately kicked over. Had I not remembered to chock the wheels and put the tractor in neutral, this could have cause serious injury, or killed me if the tractor had jumped forward. Disconnected everything and then checked it with a multimeter. It was jammed closed completing the starter circuit, ensuring that as soon as I touched the battery terminal it would kick the starter over. Bought a second one, this one seems to be working fine, this time I disconnected the starter though to be sure. connected the battery and re-checked with a multi-meter and the circuit is open on this second one. Hit hit the starter switch and the second one clicks closed as it is supposed to, and opens when the switch is released. So the second one seems to work fine. That first one though... that could have been the last one.

Which ends are the battery & starter connection?

Asked by: Zoomer
As pictured, the side copper terminals are for the battery. The top bolt/terminal is for the starter.
