Timber Tuff TMB-55 Wood Handle Timber Jack, TMB-55 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough! I would love the handle to be a bit longer for more leverage, but this is a tough little beast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very good tool if you're working with big logs I had a big red oak fall down. I was able to move 700lb logs with this timber jack with no problem. It took me a little while to get the hang of using it - how to get the hooks to set into the log and then release, but all in all, a very useful tool. Two little things I didn't like - the T and the hook are a little wobbly, even when I've tightened the bolts; and my ground is soft due to rain, so I had to place a 2x8 under the T when lifting heavy logs or it would tear up my yard. Other than that, I was amazed at how easily I could roll and lift big logs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would recommend for the value vs cost. I picked this for the price point and because it had a heavy duty handle and wide claw opening. I've been using it for a few weeks on 3 different trees I felled in by back yard. t has worked well, i only wish the foot was wider because the logs can be irregular, and sometimes if i don;t line it up parallel, when pry it into a lift, the tool rolls over because the foot isn't wide enough to support the change in center of gravity. It's infrequent, but a wider foot would be more forgiving/stable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad Where to start , the handle, looks great, thick and is of a wood a cat cant scratch, so its hard. Tight grained, oriented the right way,, parallel to the hook. Don't go nuts trying to muscle a huge log or run over it with your truck and it should be ok. Am buying a peavey so I can assist on the big one if needed. The hook, well mine is a little different than the one shown, on mine the point extends past the end about two inches, helps when jacking small logs as the point doesn't need to pierce the log, it wraps all the way around and doesn't slip. On bigger logs the tip could be sharper to penetrate easier but is still workable as is. The stand is ok except shorter might be better so as not to require as much force so get the log off the ground, I could drill new holes and shorten it if Idesire, will leave as is for now. Well that's about it. Hope it helps. Probable no worse or better wood ones in this price range, probable all made in the same factory, just rebranded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdily Built Tool. VERY Heavy Duty tool. I was surprised and impressed at how heavy the handle was on this tool. I have another that the handle is only half the diameter of this one. I actually bought this for my son who wanted to borrow mine. After seeing this tool I was tempted to give him my old one and keep the new one for myself. I also like the fact that the rolling hook is painted a bright color. That should eliminate strikes with the saw. It still baffles me why this tool isn't carried in the store and has to be ordered. I would have bought this off the shelf in a second.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool to assist in sawing logs! With Timber Tuff TMB-55, I now keep my McCulloch Pro Mac 10-10S chainsaw chain out of the dirt. The tool works so easy and lifts large logs with ease. Very strong tool if used properly. Cuts my chain re-sharpening in half. Also very handy for rolling logs to desired position.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Log Cut Worked pretty good. The only issue I had was the kickstand would sink into the dirt and the tool would tilt. So I had to adjust it on almost every time I cut. If the kick stand was a little wider maybe it would balance better. Ultimately I was able to roll logs and get them cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A helping hand Works great Easy on my saws Tremendous time saver

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back Saver! Does great turning and raising logs up to about 22 inches. Saves your saw chain and your back. The jack bar is removable (two fasteners) so you can use this as a plain cant hook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a helper. A real back saver. The legs could be a little longer, but as long as you watch where you place the jack, it lifts a tree trunk easy enough. Wish I had bought one a long time ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps keep the chain sharp This worked well to help with some cleanup after pruning some of the larger branches off the trees. It was a little tedious moving the tool down the logs after a few cuts, but it was better than digging the chain into the ground and chain seemed to stay sharper longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from making life easy Such a great addition to my wood cutting hobby. The only thing I wish is that the stand could be moved up or down without taking the screws off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs stronger hook About the third log, the hook bent to the side but still works
Date published: 2018-11-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best tools I've purchased Bought this and put it right to work. I was able to handle logs up to 15", some of them about 10' long and heavy with moisture. Had to use all my weight (185lbs) to lever the bigger logs onto with the jack. But it worked well, and the tool never seemed over matched. Grabbed the log and rolled it each time. Cut up about 3 times as many logs as I normally would in a day; wasn't worn out by the process, no sore back. This tool is a great time and energy saver. Makes it so much easier to cut up a lot without bending or getting the chain in the dirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and hefty This is a great tool when taking down trees in a confined area. It allows you to cut the logs and carry them out. As with any tool, you have to use it for its intended purpose. Its strong and the wood is hefty. We love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool These work great the heavy handle allows force for the largest logs.Well worth the money. Makes cutting wood a lot better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as strong as it looks I bought this less than a month ago, 6 trees to clear out, I am a 50 yrs old man, and 2nd tree in, I bent the hook, the wood handle held, but the hook is not heat treated, and it gave way. Now don't say I lifted a tree to big, I'm 50. Really that hook need to be hard end. Very disapointed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Bought this thing last week. Broke the handle first day, on a log it should should have picked up. Needs better type of wood or different material for handle. The rest of it is ok. TSC refunded money with no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works really well I just bought this log jack today as I had around 10 trees to cut up after clearing some land.it worked really well and kept my chainsaw out of the dirt and rocks. It also raises the log up to a decent night so you don't have to bend over as far to make your cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it is advertised to do. Had this for almost 2 years and had no issues with it. I cut my own firewood trees in Northern NY, which I use as my primary heat source. It gets a quite a bit of use, but I don't try to lift more than it is intended to lift.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good product - handle broke Bought this product didn't use it much and handle broke.  It worked well until the handle broke.  Of course it was just out of warranty.  Would not recommend to a friend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Was a little skeptical on this Chinese tool. Had a big maple down in the swamp and had a 15 ft section, approx 14" dia. I needed to get off the ground to cut, this thing actually worked well. Handle didn't crack, split or break. Hook held on and footing didn't bend. So far so good!
