Timber Tuff Bench Top Chain Sharpener JR is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small but does the job When I opened this up, it is a little small compared to others. Cord is a little short, only 35". The base is metal, two holes for mounting. First thing you want to do is to find a nut that fits the bolt for the handle. When I screwed the handle on, once it bottomed out it was still loose. This is due to the head of the bolt fitting into a slot. By putting on the nut, it secures the bolt into place. The handle was then solid. The chain stop is hard to turn, but works well. The chain lock is good. The depth screw is a little sloppy but does the job. Most saw out there use a 1/8" stone. This machine comes with the 3/16 installed. I almost sent it back because of this. Nowhere in the instructions does it tell you how to get the guard off for the stone in order to replace it. This is how it's on. On the top is a screw, remove this. The front of the guard snaps into place. To remove it lift the rear of the guard and then pull up and forward. It should come off at that point.

Are additional accessories required for sharpening .325 pitch chains? If so, what is needed.

Asked by: VickK
No additional accessories are necessary. You can use either grinding wheel included with the machine to sharpen a .325 pitch chain.
