I've had this about 2 years. My main problem is the shaft binding up. What do you recommend to lubricate it? Since it sits between the rig and the trailer, grease picks up all kinds of dirt pretty quickly.

Asked by: True2BSU
You can take an oil can and apply oil to the shaft of the jack just above the top of the jack and below the handle. It will run down through the jack and oil the threaded shaft that raises and lowers the jack. Also we recommend WD-40.

Can you take main body all the way out of mounting flange.

Asked by: ricky 59
Yes you can if you loosen the bolt that holds black plastic piece, then you can pull the jack up and completely out provided you don't have foot or wheel connected!

my trailer is not an A-Frame but a 3" square tube.Currently have a bolt on style but can't tell model/manufacturer..Is there a way to mount or what jack do you suggest

Asked by: BLR55
This jack will not work on your specified trailer. We suggest a side mount jack with wheel.

Can you elaborate more on what it takes to remove the entire body from the mounting flange? Is it practical to remove it every time after you attach the trailer t the tow vehicle ball? (I want to attach a hitch mount bike rack to a double receiver)

Asked by: TedT2018
You could remove the jack every time, but you will have to loosen black plastic before removing it and also remove any wheel or foot attached to bottom of jack

will SKU #184001399 fit the ultimate jack for a foot?

Asked by: bobtrek
SKU 1840013 is for jacks with a 2 in tube width. The Ultimate Trailer Jack has a 2-1/4 in tube width. This would not fit as a foot for the jack.

When the jack is lowered all the way down, what is the distance from the bottom of the mounting flange to the top edge of the handle?

Asked by: Shaun M
Per the manufacturer: By our measurements, when the jack is all the way down in last setting, there is about 10.5" from top of handle to bottom of mounting bracket. If you invert the handle you lower the finished height to about 7.5".
