Tarter Series 3 Automatic Headgate is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware of TSC I purchased the headgate online, wanting in to be delivered to one store close to me and was told it would have to be delivered to another store farther away and I had to go pick it up. when I arrived I saw the handle grip was torn up and ripped. I told the the TSC worker and he said he couldn't help me it was the manufacturers problem not his that was how we got it off the truck. He did not even suggest a phone # or person to contact, nor did I get a invoice or receipt for my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A plus for smaller herds Gate anchoring very simple. Suggest using 6x6 posts to help in alignment. Did mine by myself using the front bucket to lift to desired height and position.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs some tweaks Fairly solid build. Does scratch fairly easy. My biggest complaint is that the grease fittings just break off, they aluminum if I remember correctly . Mgr comped me some new ones and a threader as it was already installed.

Questions & Answers

How do u mount?

Asked by: Bill licker
Can be bolted to wooden alley posts if desired.

Can this be welded to steel posts instead of attaching to wood posts, since my working pens are all made from steel posts and rods.. thank you..

Asked by: guninthewater
This is not recommended. If the steel post are large enough to drill holes through and bolt the headgate to that would be ideal.
