DeWitt Spiral Anchor is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this to tie my hay tarp to. It has worked great for a couple of years. They were easy to put in the ground. I used a 20 inch long piece of pipe to screw into the hard ground. These were a lot easier than the ones with the a 3 inch arguer. They held up to high winds and never pulled out of the ground. A tight tarp is a happy tarp.

How do you secure the anchor into the ground? If the ground is hard will it still anchor or will it be like drilling a post hole?

Asked by: srss
You screw the anchor into the ground with a push and twist motion into the soil following the curve of the spiral, like a corkscrew. It will anchor just fine in harder soil. Harder soil will simply make it more difficult to push the anchor into the ground.
