Reviews

DeWitt Spiral Anchor is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did the Job About what you would expect for a lightweight ground anchor. I used them to keep my tarped wood crib from blowing over in high winds. So far so good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Corkscrew spiral anchor works great! Handy little gadget - corkscrew anchor to tether your pet; many other uses :anchor a tent; or anchor a tree guide line. Best price I’ve found and it works well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trampoline stakes Excellent to anchor trampoline in place and easy to put into ground with a twisting motion and I have sound sand soil So there was no problems putting into ground and they do not pull out of ground when tested by attempting to pull out of ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this to tie my hay tarp to. It has worked great for a couple of years. They were easy to put in the ground. I used a 20 inch long piece of pipe to screw into the hard ground. These were a lot easier than the ones with the a 3 inch arguer. They held up to high winds and never pulled out of the ground. A tight tarp is a happy tarp.

how much pull weight will this anchor hold ?

Asked by: Norm 62
We do not have a measurement on the pull weight of this item as it would be highly dependent on what the anchor was put in (sand, mud, hard dirt, hay, etc.).

How do you secure the anchor into the ground? If the ground is hard will it still anchor or will it be like drilling a post hole?

Asked by: srss
You screw the anchor into the ground with a push and twist motion into the soil following the curve of the spiral, like a corkscrew. It will anchor just fine in harder soil. Harder soil will simply make it more difficult to push the anchor into the ground.
