This solar pump with battery backup and panel kit is great for creating a solar garden fountain, converting an existing one to solar, adding movement to a birdbath to keep pests away, or for bringing life to a pond. With the solar panel charging the battery pack, there is no need to worry about any extra additions to the electricity bill. The LED light feature allows for illumination of the space day and night! Please note that the battery generally lasts between 12-18 months, but with repeated charges and discharge cycles over time the battery will become less efficient and battery capacity may reduce.   • PROVIDES UP TO 55-INCH OF LIFT: The pump measures 1.75" W x 2.75" D x 1.25" H. It pushes water up to 55". The solar panel is 13.5" H x 8" W x 0.75" D, and it is connected to the pump via a 16' cord and placed in direct sunlight.
  • INCLUDES ENTIRE SOLAR PUMP/PANEL KIT: Each kit includes (1) 12V DC brushless pump with dry-run protection, (1) 7W solar panel with (1) 7.4V-4000 mAH Lithium battery, 1 sprinkler/shower spray head, 1 inverted cone spray head, (3) 2.5-inch extension tubes, 1 adapter, 1 ground stake, (1) 4-LED light ring connected from the pump to the panel via a 16-foot cord, and 1 remote control with (1) 3V CR2032 battery.
  • RUNS IN AND OUT OF THE SUN: This kit runs during the day in direct sunlight or a full battery pack charge can provide up to 4 hours of operation after the sun goes down.
  • REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION: Use the included remote control to operate the pump. Press "A" 1 time to set a 1-hour timer, twice for a 2-hour timer, 3 times for a 3-hour timer and 4 for a 4-hour timer. The "B" button turns the LED lights on/off. The "C" controls the lift of the water which lifts up to 55" through a 0.5" hose. Press "D" to turn the pump on without the timer or press turn off the pump. The pump needs to be off to charge the battery via the solar panel.

    Needs minor improvements

    I would prefer not bright white light. Too bad you can not turn on fountain at solar panel. Remote is finicky.

    Second Pump, Second Disappointment

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Sunnydaze pump that came with my birdbath/fountain performed weakly. I decided to order a reportedly more powerful version. It simply doesn't work...not the pump...not the light...zero.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great I just wish it ran the pump at night to keep mosquitoes out of my water. That was the reason I had got the battery part of it.other than that I love it.

    Power to do the job

    I have a 110-gal tank, and being there isn't an electric outlet close by, I needed to use a solar unit. In the ad it never gives the size tank it will handle, and from looking at the photo, I thought it would do what was needed. When opening up the box, and looking over the parts, even without using it I could see it's more suitable for a birdbath than a fishpond.
