Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome These are the only post's I use on my farm I have some that are over 10 years old great value for the price they keep my horses in, have survived trees falling on them, I can't rave enough about them when ground is frozen in winter, hard as a rock in summer these always work without working you to death.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional and discrete. I have been buying these posts for years. I love their flexibility of use. I spray paint them dark brown and use them for functional and decorative purposes around my farm wedding venue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tough I purchased some of these earlier this year and I am happy with this product. I was not able to push into the hard red clay. I hammered the post in using the foot rest. Must hammer close to post or you will break the foot rest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use; great product! Excellent! Been using these for over a year. As a former Electric Fence Builder of 30 years , these are the best at picking up & moving : for either boundary fencing OR rotating & strip grazing of my sheep and horses. Stoffel Saddlery

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Several different options for height , wire or tape, making the job much easier. I expect the fiberglass will last along time allowing me to reuse latter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used these to put an electric fence up. They work great and easy to get in the ground.
Date published: 2017-10-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up I bought these to complete an electric fence for my goats. These posts were very easy to get into the ground. I used a rubber mallet on the tough areas. They have 2 different ways to hook the fence onto the posts. Had 80 feet of fence up in just over an hour. I went back and bought a few more just in case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Electric Netting This is the main post I use with my electric netting fences (for goats). I use it to keep my fence tight and take up slack or reinforce corners. These posts last longer than the plastic posts and are more ridged and spaced great for all my electric nets. You can also run single electric lines if you choose. The only downsides to these posts are: the bottom plastic step part tends to slide over time, the bottom step piece doesn't have a lip to grab the bottom line of the electric fence, and the top plastic piece will fracture and break with too much from a hammer. I use a rubber mallet to drive all my posts and don't have had little trouble.
Date published: 2017-07-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from no warranty just the coating on the post if you buy for warranty good luck it only covers the coating on post, not breakage warranty

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Maintained horses under high winds & bad weather After a night of constant worry for my horses getting loose I am so thankful for the durability & thoughtfulness of the design of these poles. We used 3" tape for the top and rope string electrical fence for the next strand. The clips on these poles were designed to keep the tape from easily popping out. On a trip with our horses We endured a very heavy storm with hail and strong winds! I panicked for a few hours and finally realized the fence wasn't going anywhere! I was so relieved and felt peace knowing these posts were obviously not going anywhere. Only issue, they could be a little taller.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Install but will they last? This was a very easy install. I placed these posts every 25 feet with 5ft t-posts in the corners using 1/4" poly rope at three different levels. I ran over 500 feet with only t-posts in the corners. For hard ground I was able to use a dead blow mallet on the tops of the post without issue. The only thing negative I would have to say about these posts is that approximately 1 out of 4 posts had extra plastic from the injection molding process in the location where the poly rope was to be placed. This extra plastic had to be cut out with a razor blade prior to installing the 1/4" poly rope. Easy enough to remove, just an added step. While this is "temporary" fencing I hope it will last several years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sun guard ii fiberglass step in post easy and light. BUT when livestock attempts to go through-testing your wire, the eyelits will snap like toothpicks and there is no repairing....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good product I also agree this is a good product. I've purchased several other brands that TSC carries and find them far inferior to the Sun Guard 4' step-ins. The only problem I have is (as one other reviewer mentioned) that the clips have broken off many of these. One of the reasons I purchased this the first time around is because they advertised a lifetime guarantee. It is time to see if they will live up to that promise. I need to check whether I bring them back to TSC for replacement or I need to send them back to Sun Guard(I hope the latter is NOT the case). Other than this issue, I'm very pleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent but not fire resistant :) these posts were excellent SUPER easy to use and install. they held up the fence very nicely. we only used t-posts at the corners and these posts on all the straight runs and it looked awesome, and kept the horses in no problem. they worked very well and the only reason that I'm buying more is to replace ones we lost in a pasture fire.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from love them but I love them, and the price, the posts itself haven't broke, but the tips of the tape holder bracket have broken off many of them, so not happy about that part. Getting ready to check with the manufacturer to see if they will replace the broken ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to have around! I use these all the time! I am forever changing the size and amount of small paddocks inside the main one and I can do that in no time flat with these! I love them! They are strong and really last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Temp Fence Tool These are great for setting up a quick pasture for my cows. My 10 year old can set them up. The can be used for poly wire or aluminum wire.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok under the right conditions These posts are handy and go in well but I used them for a combo tape and electic braid fence and tape came off all posts in a strong wind. I used zip ties on the top of each post bracket to insure it wouldn't happen agian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Temp fence I bought 75 of these in 2008. So far they are holding up great. I like the dual option to hang tape or twine. They step in easy to soft groud, if I'm trying to put them in a area with gravel (next to a driveway) I hammer in a large log nail first to make a hole and then put the post in. When it comes to a corner you'll want to use a t-post. The 4 hot strands keep in my alpacas and I haven't had a horse jump over it yet either. Works great to make a barrier around trees or freshly planted grass to keep the animals off it too. Highly recommend as a post for rotational grazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent buy I purchased these posts for a temporary fence installation for two horses. I am a female and the ease of use of these was great, even for me. Very simple easy setup, and they are durable as well. These posts are holding up to my blind mare bumping into them. I would surely recommend these posts to anyone who is looking to use them. Thanks TSC for making my life much easier! The price is excellent as well for such a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product I bought these about 2 yrs ago to keep a warmblood horse contained and it worked great the others he broke like tooth picks but these he has never broke I leave them up yr around in all conditions such as both in wet areas, sunny areas, and woody areas and I have yet have one fail or get brittle I have had electric wire get broke but these never broke I recommend these to anyone who needs a reliable post for electric fenceing and these will work with all types of electric fenceing from the tape to the wire these work great.

can i use this with 4 ft. x 100 ft. Green Construction Snow/Safety Barrier Fence? how far apart would you put the posts so I know how many to order? This is for chickens...

Asked by: pickmywick
Some have used this with a safety fence and it works okay. Place the post 8'-10' apart. The only issue might be during an ice storm with strong winds, this situation may be too much for the post to support and it may break under the pressure.
