Rated 4 out of 5 by from good multi functional tool I was surprised by the low reviews, so let me say I am overall pleased with this tool. I've used it for about 9 months to cut oak 1.5 inch wide, but anything bigger I use a reciprocating saw. It helps a lot to sharpen the blades with a file every week or so. This tool is also perfect to quickly and humanly slaughter chickens, it is the perfect size to perform a massive thoracic dislocation, far more humane than a knife in my opinion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk blades and junk customer service The blade broke within a few minutes the first time they were used. The handle screws keep coming loose and the Allen screws that hold the loppers together that they hinge on keep coming loose. The loppers supposedly have a lifetime warranty, but when you contact customer service for new blades, they want pictures of the loppers, pictures of the packaging and a copy of the receipt. Who keeps the packaging of a Lopper? Who would think the blades would brake as easily as they do? Can't buy the blades separately so now I have a junk set of loppers and Bond Manufacturing won't send any replacement blades to me because I don't have pictures of the packaging or receipt. Don't waste your money on these loppers. If you do buy them, before using them go ahead and expect the blade to brake. While you're using them, you'll also need to keep a Phillips screwdriver in your pocket to tighten the handle screws and an Allen wrench to keep the hinge point screws tight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from good design, poor blade. After using these for less than a month total time the blade snapped. I cannot find another blade and searching the Stanley website I can find no information on the product. I tried to take them back to my local TSC without luck as I have owned them more than 30 days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Are they really made by Stanley? The blade snapped off the first time I used them after cutting 4 or 5 limbs.
