Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan of this post driver I bought this spring loaded post driver because it was the last post driver in the store. I would never have spent the extra on something that looked like a gimmick from the start. But I bought it, and tried it on 10 foot posts. No go. It takes much, much more effort to drive the post. Perhaps for a short post it would be fine. With tall post I have to stand on a ladder and can't use much body weight to force the spring down. It requires so much more effort than a standard driver, that I stopped trying to use it after a few hits. I would MUCH rather lift a driver and then drop it, than have it lift itself, and make me put all of my strength and weight into driving a post. After 3 firm blows, the post was barely started. With a standard driver, it would be well on it's way into the earth. I will be returning this post driver.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Spring stunk on second strike. Spring stuck on second strike. Can not get it to release. Tried everything suggested in other reviews. Still works for pounding, but could have bought the cheaper one to do the same thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m a lady....boo hoo to the boys I’m a little gal who begged to have her horses in the backyard. My husband refused to allow it so I purchased this driver and all the things needed to install it myself. I learned a thing or two. 1. Definitely need to use your knees as mentioned in another review. 2. Definitely need to find a rhythm that works for you, also mentioned in another review. 3. Definitely wear gloves or experience load$ of blisters on yer hands. 4. Don’t give up. It will git yer post into even the toughest of grounds. Mine is laden with roots and rocks. 5. If you find the spring is stuck or not moving fluidly, flip the driver and give it a good shake and it fixes itself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spring is stuck The spring got stuck up at the top on the first push down. Now it is just like using one without a spring at all. Should have saves our money and bought the cheaper version.

What is the ID of the cylinder? Will a 3.5" U-Channel steel post fit inside?

Asked by: Saildon
The ID for the tube on the spring loaded post pounder is 2.09. It will not fit a 3.5 " post.

What is the best driver for putting in 2"×2" wooden posts?

Asked by: Big Al12345
This product is only used for steel t-posts. The model 100 Post Hole Digger would work.
