Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fly boots that work well and stays cool I have purchased different material boots. The Shire boots are the only one that fit properly and have withstood 24 hour wear without issue. The original set I purchased 3 years ago and show little wear and that is why I purchased additional sets for my other horses. The only issue is the color white but they wash well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No! Returned these after one day. These would not stay up on my horse's legs, and were always bunched up around his ankles. Like tube socks when the elastic wears out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fly boots yet! I have tried several brands and so far I love these. They are soft, move easily with the horse, velcro really works great at keeping them on and my horses have stopped stomping their feet. I've only used them for a week, but so far I am more impressed with these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Run big They work well. Nothing special about them. They run big as my 15.3 quarter horse does not fit the “horse” size. Its still better than nothing despite the sagging from the large fit.

How long can these be comfortably worn? Should they be taken off at night? I have a horse who's legs are bleeding from so many fly bites, and I'm not sure if I should just leave them on a few days, or take them off nightly.

Asked by: Jenifer83
The fly boot can be worn for an extended period of time as long as the boots are being cleaned periodically to keep the horses legs from being irritated. The boots can be left on over night as well as during the day.
