Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have been using my 10x20 carport for years for scouting events and cooking travelling events. They are easy to set up and with the 10 foot side they provide plenty of space.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fabric cheap and does not hold up. I bought this in late summer early fall of 2016. By early summer 2017 small tears were starting where cover meets poles in some areas. Patched these areas to prevent further tearing to no avail. Now February 2018 cover is just tearing all over. always kept the snow off so that isn't the reason. Fabric is just to cheap and maybe not UV rated. It seems for what these cost they should last longer than a year and a half. Should have put the money towards a wood structure. Replacement cover is to expensive and time consuming to replace every year or year and a half. Poor quality even for a temporary shelter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor covering The covering is so weak that a good wind ripped it to pieces. As I pulled on some to try and adjust it, my fingers went right through it like it was paper. And I only had it up for a yr. so not happy.
Date published: 2018-02-07
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cover fails after a single year. I do live in a windy area but the cover is failing after 13 months. Many small holes have developed and I can see there is long areas that are on the brink of ripping. Cover will not last more than 1.5 years. The frame is solid but I added some reinforcements made out of metal conduit which really stiffened it up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Is going to work for a temporary shelter I am happy with the shelter as a temporary refuge for my horses. It was relatively easy to put together, however, the instructions need to specify which parts to put together first and tighten up last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not last long I bought this product in Oct 2015. It made it through the first winter with minor tears. I patched them up with gorilla tape. Last winter, the tears got bigger. I took down the entire cover to repair. While I was putting it back up, it was tearing more. The material doesn't last long at all. Doesn't hold up to changing weather conditions of Maine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cover not durable Bought this in April this year, did not get to put it up until early June, now 3 months later I have 3 tares in the main canopy where the material is resting on the polls. And I can see signs that it is just going to rip apart. We have had no rain or winds in the past 3 months. Somewhat dismayed! Really like the size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frame is great cover has failed / ripped after 9 m I purchased this to cover my large 4 wheeled toy in January 2017 it is now September 2017 and the cover has failed and is ripping at the top across some of the frame points and I am sure that the rest will follow suit... covers are not strong enough to last for the unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product I have ever bought Parts missing. No instructions. Bars labeled wrong
Date published: 2017-06-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great option for a vehicle garage. I listen to these people that write a review and say their shelter didn't stand up to the weather or didn't last long. For the winter months I put ten foot 1x4 stapping between the cross members so it would give extra support for the snow loads. Also I made a special wide broom to make sure I took the snow loads off each time it snowed. These people have got to use some common sense if you get a foot of snow and it rains, no shelter like this is going to take the weight. I have had my shelter for four or five years now and I'm in northern Canada where we know about snow loads. This shelter has even had a tree fall on it and I ordered more support tubes and it's still going. It has a few tears in the material but it's still holding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk.. Cover didn't even last 8 months I bought one of these in the spring, by the end of year the cover had tore. So they sent me a new one under warranty, well almost a whole cover the ends were missing from the replacement. Less than year later that one tore, but they won't warranty the replacement. So now I need to buy a cover only 2 years in... Bottom line is, this model is very very cheap... I live Ga so just sun and light wind no snow... Save your money and buy wood building or at least not this cheap that you're gonna replace the cover every year...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and fast install I have two of the auto enclosers and love both of them. I can even fit my diesel pick truck in it when I have to. Highly recommended. Even my cat likes it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't handle wind I purchased this shelter 15 months ago. Is was holding up pretty good. I live in Michigan where I only really worry about snow or rain. Besides a little condensation buildup in the shelter it was looking good. Well about a week ago, Michigan was hit with severe wind and the cover was torn at every contact point (point where the tarp touches the poles) on the shelter. The material is weak. If you live in a windy area, I would not recommend this shelter. Or if you already have it, maybe try to reinforce he tarp at the contact points to prevent this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helpful Third Storage Shelter I bought my AutoShelter 1020 back in 2013, length & width was perfect to house Motorcycles, lawn mowers & small sport car. Has held up to many of wind, rain & snow storms. Now I use it as a carport that can be closed up when needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I bought the shelter for the winter rains that we get and a light rain at work just fine but with the heavy rain we've had for a few days now it is far from being waterproof my vehicle has got water droplets all over the hood and the roof and each the support frames has water drops on the inside how can it be called waterproof proof at this point I want my money back!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable I have two of these. One in my back yard for storing ride on mower, garden tools etc. Have had this one for about seven years. Anchored to wooden floor. Just started to rip along the centre line. Tarped for the winter. The second one i have had for about five years and houses my van in the winter. Expanding bolts drilled into the ashphalt have kept it secured. Both have withstood high winds and heavy snow. Starting to rip along the lower part of the roof line. Important to remove heavy drifts of snow with a snow rake. Have to replace both in the Spring, but not happy with the cost of replacement covers compared with the cost of the complete package

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk!!! Bought this 2 years ago. I live in upstate ny and had snow the first year and it bent the center 3 roof pipes then during the summer i noticed the roof had a slight tear which i repaired. Then in november we got a few inches of snow and total collapse. If your buying a shelter buy the barn shape with the upgraded fly because the standard will fail and they know it that is why they only give you a 1 year limited warranty

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice portable shed just purchased and built this shed. i have given it an excellent rating only because,, so far,, it has been exactly what it was described as. when i ordered it it came in only 3 days, which i thought was great. to build it, i had it completed in about 3 hours. i would suggest that you get 2-3 people to help out. the second day it was up we got about 12 inches of snow. withstood that nicely. i have read some reviews that didnt like the way that the canopy lasts,,,, i cannot speak to that as of yet. i hope to have this shed for many years

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good idea, cheap construction All of the nuts back themselves off. You will want to add locktite or replace with locknuts. The cover had holes at stress points just after 1 year. They sent me a 4" patch which wouldn't patch a single hole, let alone the lot of them. It's now 25 months old and the cover has shredded in a 20mph wind storm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cover needs improvement I was hoping to get a lot more life out of the carport. It seems to be ripping on the edges where the bars are. My father purchased one the same time I did and is having the same problem. We both need replacement covers already it's been almost 2 years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Instant Garage is a misrepresentation Nothing in the description said that it required 2 men (people) to set up. I've had it for over two weeks and still don't have it together. I will probably give up since I don't have help (a crew would be more appropriate) and the directions are written poorly and the illustrations are hard to understand. Very disappointed and I blame myself, since I was in need of a shelter before winter and didn't heed all of the negative feedback already written.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canopy Working exactly how we wanted it too and it's a perfect fit
Date published: 2016-10-31
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap cover! Purchased Oct. 2014, did not assemble until Aug. 2015, currently the cover is tearing and splitting at each pole. Structure tubing is sound and holds up well. I have a request in for a replacement and / or upgrade cover, the price is what you get? I wish it would have lasted longer.
Date published: 2016-10-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy My wife and I bought 2 of these a little less than a year ago. It took us all day to put it together. The directions have you put the structure together to find out you have to take it apart again to put the canopy on. The only reason we bought two is because we loved the one we bought before that was all put together with mostly bungees. Now all the seams are coming apart since their heat welded and the tarps is already tearing on the top. Since it was so hard to put together we did not build the second one and now that we see that the other one is falling a part we have no plans to do so

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dies not last I have had to purchase 2 in two years the material just does not last it is to thin and just tears

Your garage in a box is 7.5 ounce polierathane rip stop cover how does this one compare?

Asked by: Josh560
The manufacturer advised that both covers are psm triple layer woven polyethylene which is heat sealed not stitched for maximum water resistance. They are both UV treated inside, outside and in between with added fade blockers. The difference between the two is this model 62681 is 5.5 oz fabric, and the model 62779 is 7.5 oz. as you mentioned.

How does it attached to the ground

Asked by: Daskull53
Hello, This unit includes 4 temporary anchors, one for each corner. We suggest going to your local hardware store and asking which permanent anchors work best in your local terrain. Once you have that information we recommend anchoring each foot. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you

Is the a difference in the polyethylene cover thickness between the “peak” shelter & the round top shelters that are 10*15*8?

Asked by: Linn71
Hi Linn, If they are both the Autoshelter models then the cover will be the same material for both round and peak styles.
