The Buyers Products SaltDogg 2 cu. yd. Electric Stainless Hopper Spreader is ready for commercial use. Its electric-powered design means quieter, time saving operation with no need for refueling or engine servicing.

  • 8 ft. spreader can fit in the back of an extended-bed 1-ton truck
  • Will work with bulk sand and a sand/salt mix
  • Hopper and fully-welded frame are made from high quality 304 stainless steel for long lasting corrosion protection
  • Spreader features a 12 in. wide, all steel pintle chain conveyor powered by an independent 3/4 HP, 12V gear motor
  • A lever-operated feedgate offers additional material flow control
  • 6-fin, 14 in. polymer disc powered by an independent 1/2 HP, 12V motor can cast a 5 to 30 ft. spread. The stainless steel chute can be extended an extra 11-1/2 in. if needed. The spinner and conveyor are operated by a heavy-duty in-cab controller with independent variable speeds
  • Comes outfitted with a top screen, stainless steel inverted V and tie-down kit

does this spreader require additional voltage other than the 12 volt produced by the truck alternator. we have always run gas powered spreaders, just wanting some sound advice.
