Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bird Was Trapped Inside I would not recommend this bird feeder unless you cover the holes to make them smaller. It's been out for a week and twice birds got trapped inside the feeder. I was able to get them out but not before they were banging themselves against the glass trying to get out :( Very bad design and would not recommend this feeder until they correct this huge design flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to fill and clean The birds seem to love it too. I got a squirrel cover for it and it all seems to work well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and best Had one two years. Best of all my many feeders. Simple to fill. Only problem need a clasp to keep squirrels from opening top and crawling in. Rugged, zero wear and tear. Swapping out all my feeders for this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tin feeder We love this feeder. I just bought a second one, first one had a little trouble with the last snow storm, branch broke and it got pretty banged up but we are still using it. We have never had a problem with birds getting inside and we get a lot of finches. Love the fact that it is metal, squirrels can't chew this one like they did all the plastic ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feeder I bought this feed and loved it from day one . It looks great and keeps feed dry even in the rain, I like it so much I went back and bought another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feeder this feeder has been redesigned with smaller holes and it now my favorite feeder - tough built and easiest to fill and holds a large quantity of feed, where the only downside would be the weight when totally full!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Royal Wing Royal Wing Tin Roof Hopper This feeder does hold a large quantity of seed however it also empties faster than it should because the feeder holes are too large and the slightest movement send the seed tumbling immediately . The larger birds such as the Blue jays just shovel/dig the feed out right before your eyes. I will have to put something in to close down the size of the holes before I can out it back out in the feeder area as it just wastes way too much seed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birds Love it! I bought one on sale to try it. The birds love it so much that I bought another. At first I was afraid that the small landing area might make it difficult for the birds to land on. Not so. birds of all sizes and descriptions keep it busy all day long. Also I have seen the squirrel that was always in my old feeder try this one and he has never made it to get one seed. Hurrah

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Feed slots too big! Three times I have found small birds trapped inside the feeder. Yes, INSIDE! The feeder slots are too big and small birds can get inside the feeder, but they aren't able to get out. Nothing like seeing a small bird thrashing inside the feeder in a desperate panic. Once I saw what had happened, I immediately released the birds and they did fly away. Not sure if they survived that adventure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holds a few days worth Easy to fill and clean. Holds plenty of seed. I have released 1 chicadee so far. I will put a few pieces of large screen over the holes overall great and good looking feeder

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Birds Love It Unfortunately it's necessary to watch the seed level as when too low, the birds attempt entry to get the last of the seeds. To date I've had to free birds caught inside on three occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, love this feeder! Unlike the previous reviewer, I have yet to find birds in my feeder. This feeder is fantastic if you have a continuous issue with squirrels! I do love them but the can sure make a mess of a feeder. This feeder is also sturdy, heavy, easy to clean and fantastic for all year round use. One drawback is that it cannot place on a pole a shepherds hook is the best method to hang

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This bird feeder kill Goldfinches. I bought this feeder a few weeks ago and over a few days I found 3 dead Goldfinches inside the feeder. It appears when the feed approaches empty, the Goldfinches were going through the feeding holes to reach the last seeds and could not find their way back out.

Wouldn't this burn the birds feet if in the sun? Did anyone make any adjustments to this feeder that could solve this?

Asked by: JHKS
