Could I sit this on shelf outside back entry to my house? Carolina wren has built nest there past 2 years and both times cowbird has laid an egg in the nest. Or does it have to be hung?

Asked by: doral
Yes, it does not have to be hung.

Does this open up for cleaning inside? If yes, what is the size of the opening, and where is it located?

Asked by: JDucky
This unit does not open up. You can remove the screws in the front or rear panel but it is not designed with a clean-out.
