Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good I bought this bird seed because of 50 lbs bag and the birds won't touch it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too much corn Few days ago was the first time for buying this brand and I will never buy it again it is way way way way way too much corn and whole kernels are in there as well. Not good for anything except for attracting deer and raccoons.
Date published: 2019-11-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not buy This is terrible stuff, no animal will eat it, birds, possums, chickens, coons, rabbits and squirrels. It is a waste of money
Date published: 2019-11-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from only eat 1 seed type i have a LOT of wild birds coming and going and they seem to through most all of this seed out and only pick out the black oil sunflower seeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best All birds love this seed. Very happy to see different species and I have several feeders and they fight over it
Date published: 2019-11-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value In years past I have purchased their value mix then added to it. After the last bags being mostly corn I decided to go a different route and purchase this mix as it was on sale and I am so glad I did. Much better quality, less corn. I did add more sunflower seed to it but it is not necessary, this had plenty in it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should be marketed as cracked corn chicken feed We have come to depend on Tractor Supply for it's quality. Like others have pointed out in their reviews, what once was an excellent wild bird food has become basically a bag of cracked corn with a little birdseed mixed in. Sadly, there are no wild chickens in our portion of Western Nevada so a majority of this expensive feed remains left uneaten.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality isn't what it use to be.... We've been buying this bird seed for quite some time. The last two bags have been of very poor quality. It's made up of almost all corn and it's whole kernels! I'm looking for another brand.
Date published: 2019-10-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money... Bought this last week and 3/4 of the bag is cracked corn.. most of the birds won't touch it. So the feeders are full of corn :-( VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "For The Birds" Is A Good Thing This is a fairly economical feed that caters to a wide range of birds. I also feed it to my guinea fowl along with their gamebird chow. The biggest problem I have with this seed variety is that its ingredients change over the course of the year. Sometimes there's a lot of millet, which the birds love best, but at other times it's almost all cracked corn. Only doves really like cracked corn. And squirrels of course. It doesn't have as much sorghum seed as most other feed mixes, which is why I prefer it, because most of my native birds despise sorghum seed and refuse to eat it, digging it out and throwing it on the ground to get at the millet. I'd be happy if it had more millet in it all year around. The proportion of black sunflower seed stays fairly stable throughout the year. In all, though, this is the best wild bird food I've found over many years of feeding birds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality bird food. I bought this product based on the reviews. Got it home and the birds will not touch it. It is mostly corn, with some sunflower seeds. Do not recommend.

Date published: 2019-09-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good merchandise I buy a bag every week and the last two bags have had a lot of corn and not much sunflower seeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new go-to Nice clean seed variety. Attracts a nice variety of visitors. Got a woodpecker and nuthatches to show up.
Date published: 2019-08-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birds This is our go-to seed. We feed hundreds of quail, doves, pigeons, finches and other birds on our property and they eat every seed. It's a great product with a variety of seeds, so it can be fed to many bird species. As soon as I fill the feeders and spread it on the ground, the birds go crazy. We know it's a healthy seed mix because the quail are STILL producing babies. It's also a great value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They eat everything Made a platform feeder just bought some of this seed the birds leave nothing in it. the brand I was using had to throw away the seed that the birds refused to eat or it would build up lot of activity at this feeder now. Very happy with this.
Date published: 2019-08-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality bird food at a reasonable price. I should let the birds review this food, it appears that they love it. Good quality, not much inedible stuff, maybe the occasional stalk pieces. Price is great, too.

If you try to grow this seed, would it sprout? Im looking for cheap seed to grow and substitute into my chickens diet.

Asked by: _UNSILENT_
Royal Wing Classic Mix is formulated for wild birds. It is not intended to be planted or fed to chickens. It is best to plant hybrids seeds for crops.

Are the sunflower seeds shelled? Is there waste? Thank you.

Asked by: CrazyMark
The sunflower seeds in the classic mix do have shells. This blend does have some waste. For a no waste option we recommend either: SKU: 1305561 or SKU: 6802133.
