Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this weed and grass killer I bought this in hopes I could gain weed and grass control and boy did I get it! This stuff goes a long way and kills everything it touched. So well I was scared to use it close to my trees! I used it in South Texas and followed the directions. I did not change the concentration!

What are the differences between Roundup Super Concentrate, Roundup Power Max and Roundup Pro?. If the latter have the same ingredients, what is the discrepancy in the price? Thank you in advance for you answers.

Asked by: Monsoon
The container sizes are some of the price difference. Quarts are more expensive per ounce than 2.5 gallon jugs. Powermax is an ag chemical, the label is mostly based on row crop and farm applications. Promax is a turf product the labels are more extensive and cost more. The chemical is the same on all three. The active percentage is the same on the promax and the powermax. The only difference between the two is the label contents. Hope this helps.

Is Roundup Power Max as good or better than the Super Concentrate Roundup ? Just bought a 2.5 gallon container at Tractor Supply since they were out of the Super Concentrate 1 gallon containers... customer service said that this is better and cheaper.

Asked by: AirMojo
Per Roundup: Powermax and the super concentrate are both the same chemical just different strengths. The use rates are different. Powermax is cheaper per use rate per gallon.

Can I till the same day I spray?

Asked by: Brandon VH
Yes immediately after. But I would give the product time to kill and die before i tilled it up. If you don’t wait I would just till it and not spray. It doesn’t have time to work.

I need to kill 26 acres of an old hay field (it's been idle for at least 1 1/2 years). Many weeds. Which is best product to use? And when should I apply - this fall or next spring before planting?

Asked by: Orby
Powermax is a great nonselective herbicide to use. A higher rate is needed on fescue to ensure a good kill. 32 oz per acre is a good rate. Apply 2-3 weeks before you are going to reseed and disk or till to make a good seedbed for your new pasture.

How soon could I rototill and plant/seed my food plot after using this product and I assume is best to use this before mowing so the plants get the full effect......thanks Brian

Asked by: Brian L
roundup has no soil affect so you can plant immediately after you spray. I would spray the vegetation and wait until it dies all the way then till and seed. hope that helps. thanks for the question
