RedStone Multi-Purpose Fan-Forced Heater, CZ798BKT is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet This heater is so much quieter than others of its kind. Nice for heating a medium-sized bedroom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Heater Ever!! I know this type of heater is popular so I got one to use as a supplemental heater at my home. The scariest thing about it is the cord get hot when I used it. I was very concerned about it causing a fire. Also at the time I bought it I didn't realize that the knob controls were not marked well enough to see what setting the knob was turned to so a very bad design in this respect. I kept the box with the intention of returning the heater to TSC but too much bad weather which caused bad roads prevented this in the 30 day period.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Met my needs. I needed a small rugged heater. This heater has worked well so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little heater for emergencies. Needed something quick because furnace died and wanted to protect pipes in basement. Little heater did not put out a tremendous amount of heat but enough to do the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely poor quality We had one for emergency use and pipe warming. It's basically a piece of junk. The multi-setting heat setting switch was essentially non functional. The lower switch was for continuous speed setting on the fan and basically did nothing other than fan on vs fan off. Total piece of junk now residing in the county landfill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap is as cheap does. Second Redstone heater of this type to quit working after a month or less. Thought the first was a fluke, but no-- it's the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price, good heat! Bought 5 of these handed 4 out as gifts, didn't get to try out until we ran out of oil, because we didn't get any help from the low income oil assistance program, due too government shut down? Anyways the product proved most helpful and heated our house to 68 degrees. The kids love their heaters and so do I, they proved to be a real life saver especially when its 10 below outside, our house is well insulated 3 bedroom, home, no complaints at all. Would of given 5 star, but wanting to check for longevity???

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Air forced heat Bought this month to help heat small room. works great in any size room inside and in garage
Date published: 2019-01-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cord/plug gets hot to the touch The plug is not grounded and it literally gets hot to the touch, as well as the upper part of the cord. A friend also bought one and has the same issue. I don’t trust leaving it plugged in for very long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me warm It really moves the heat with the fan it's awesome!
Date published: 2018-12-24
Rated 2 out of 5 by from weak fan, low heat I bought this today and returned it after trying it out. I don't think it would keep a bathroom warm. Buy this one instead it works great. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/redstone-multi-purpose-fan-forced-ceramic-heater?cm_vc=-10005

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good features, works well i like that it shows the current air temp while running and that it has a timer which you can easily set so it will turn after some time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great small heater I am going on a second season using this little heater. It is very useful and heats a small room quite well. 25x20 feet room approximately. It is bulky though for the size but worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely pleased with this small heater. PERFECT!! The fan circulates the air and is an added plus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fetures My heat pump went out and I was glad TS had 3 of these heaters. I really like the auto shut off feature, if it gets knocked over.
Date published: 2018-01-22
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap!! Knobs broke within the first 48 hours. The handle has to be assembled, which was no big deal except the screws were not provided. It's cheap so you get what you pay for - maybe a more expensive model from a different brand may be better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So loud!! I bought one of these for my cubicle and it is so loud that everyone stopped what they were doing. This is advertised as an office/home use heater... it is way too loud! I would barely even be able to hear the TV over the heater, let alone be able to use it in my office. We bought 2 of them, so I know that it wasn't just a malfunction. Going to return these ASAP.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not pleased Didn't put out the heat that I was hoping for. Only good for a very very small space.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap electric heater If you want 1500 watts of cheap electric heat then this is it. I too thought the heating elements should glow red but when hooked to my portable generator I'm sure its producing 1500 watts. The power cord is cheap too, not grounded and get very stiff at 50 degrees. I'm glad I bought when they were 25% off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Cheap Heater for Freeze Protection A Good Cheap Heater for Freeze Protection in my barn. I paired it with a Thermocube switch so that it comes on when the temperature drops below freezing to keep my water pipes from freezing up.
Date published: 2017-01-10
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Recommended No heat output whatsoever. The coils never turn red, so maybe I have a defective unit.. Others sing praises to it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Date published: 2017-01-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for equipment Excellent little heater for single rooms, or to keep under your workbench while you tinker. I've bought a couple of them, one for my shed, and one to keep my legs warm while I'm in the shop. If you are looking to heat your entire garage or shop, look elsewhere, this heater isn't large enough for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price I have been looking for this little heater! We bought one last year and loved it. It gives enough heat for one small room. It is true that the fan makes a little noisy, but I like that it has a thermostat, so I think that it works great for such a small price. The one we bought last year still works like a champ.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great My son wanted a small heater for his bedoom and this heats the whole room on low.. had it 4 months now. Only bad thing is the fan makes background noise.
Date published: 2014-12-12
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good designed Heater Very dissapointed with the amout of heat. As compared to other brands of simular type heaters. The Redstone C2442 cermac heater has twice the heat output.
Date published: 2014-11-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Good Unit I have purchased more than one of these. If used as intended and understanding its limitations, I think most will be very happy with this heater. I use them to keep the chill out of a hunting shack and hunting cabin. The internal thermostat works good and it does the job of providing enough warmth. Also the tip over cut-off feature is valuable. For the money it can't be beat.
Date published: 2014-10-14
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Under powered Bought it to take the chill out of a 75 square foot enclosed trailer. Ill be taking it back to get a stronger unit. The fan, even on high, doesn't move much air. Unit would only be good for an insulated, full enclosed area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver  I  have 2 mini donkeys in a small 175 sq.ft. barn. Your heater produced just enough heat to keep both are animals from freezing to death. The temperatures reached -20 degrees and their water never froze. We thank you for a safe and affordable electric heater. God Bless!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy, strong , safe bought this heater during december. Has been such a good buy for a small add on heat for a small area when quick heat is needed.
Date published: 2014-01-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth the money Heated a large room, took the cold air out in a short period of time, works perfectly, and safe to use.

Questions & Answers

Since it has an adjustable knob. Can it goes to around 150 watts?

Asked by: JonathanPho
This model has only 2 (two) wattage settings, 1300W and 1500W, as indicated by the switch on the front panel. The second knob, the continuously adjustable dial (low to high) just allows you to set the thermostat, so the heating element turns on when it’s getting cooler, and off when it’s warmer in the room.
