Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water pump The 2" Water pump I had purchased from tracker supply had a broken switch on it. And it was in a box with styrofoam. It wasn't very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good farm pump Got this for transferring fertilizer on the farm. Even though it says "water pump" so far it works well. We did blow out a seal(our own fault) and are having trouble locating the proper seal, but otherwise it works fine.

Can this pump potable water? We need to raise the water approximately 50 feet. Will this pump handle it?

Asked by: willendy
This pump is not certified for potable water. This pump can raise the water 50 feet. You will get about 80GPM at 50 feet of lift.

Pumping water from a lake to water yard. Wanting to use a nozzle to spray (seeking suggestion) the yard from the 2" discharge or do we let water run down the hill toward the lake. Back yard 250' the rise from lake elevation to yard high point is 35'

Asked by: tim utz
It looks like you want to pump 35’ uphill for 250’ through a 2” pipe. Then spray it out with a nozzle. You didn’t provide a flow rate but if the flow required for the nozzle is 10gpm or less then you will have a little less than 20psi to push the water. Give me a call at 88-885-9254 if you want to discuss the application.

can i discharge through a regular water hose

Asked by: boingger
Yes. You can discharge through a regular water hose. It will reduce the volume but will not harm the pump.

I am trying to suck water out of a pond and it isn’t suck and I have primed it twice

Asked by: Cleaning
In most cases loss of prime is due to water leaking out of the suction pipe. Be sure to check your connections for leaks. Also make sure there are no obstructions in the suction line. Call me at 888-885-9254 and we can troubleshoot the problem.

I would like to use this pump to pump water about 600 feet away with a rise of about 50 feet to attach a sprinkler for watering the grass. Will this pump work for that and if not do you have a suggestion

Asked by: kennethR
This 617033 can pump 5gpm at 90’ that is just under 40psi. The application has a rise of 50’ which just leaves 40’ the equivalent of 17psi. And that is before we subtract the friction loss of a 600’ hose. This won’t be enough for most sprinklers. We should start our sizing process with the sprinkler being used. We want to know gallons per minute and pressure requirements needed for the sprinkler. Then we want to choose a 600’ hose and add friction loss. Once we know the gpm, psi and friction loss requirements for the system we can then choose a pump that will meet the demand. Please call me at 888-885-9254 so we can determine the perfect pump.
