What is the ratio of feed to body weight?

Asked by: vxyz
The product should be fed free-choice to growing hogs. A pig eats an average of 4% of its BW per day, so a 100-lb pig will eat 4 lbs of feed, a 200-lb pig will eat 8 lbs. Once a pig is mature, you may need to feed a little less to keep it from getting too fat.

I have a lot belly "mini pig that I feed mazuri to, but it's getting too expensive for only 25lbs and he's a fully grown adult now. Can I feed him this is regular pig feed? I want to give him good healthy food that's not specific to his breed. Thank you

Asked by: Danielle Nelson
We do not recommend using regular swine feed for mini pigs, as swine feed is usually used to fatten pigs. Mazuri is fed to mini pigs to regulate their weight. We recommend continuing to use Mazuri feed for mini pigs

would this food be good for a piglet

Asked by: contol221
If it is a baby pig then the Producer’s Pride will be a good product for it. If it is a mini pig you don’t want to feed a swine feed to it that is made to make the pig grow to butcher because a mini pig can end up weighing 300 lbs by doing that. They would need Mazuri Mini Pig feed.
