Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install! Worked Perfectly! I purchased this a few weeks ago. It was easy to install and worked perfectly out of the box. Bought (2) extra rolls of wire for a total of 1500 feet. My catahoula has almost 2 acres to run in. Buried the wire from the house to the pasture fence and then buried it across the driveway. Tacted it to each fence post the rest of the way. Set it on (3) and he figured it out pretty quick. I would recommend this to anyone.

Does the boundary wire have to be buried? I used this unburied and the protective sheath vanished and stopped working, would putting it in the ground prevent this again?

Asked by: Stoop45
Thank you for your question! The boundary wire does not have to be buried, but this does risk leaving it exposed to outside elements which can wear down the wire more quickly than if it were buried. We recommend either burying the wire or investing in a wire that is UV-resistant if you wish to leave it above ground.

I have a Havahart underground fence unit with no wire, will this wire be compatible with the Havahart underground fence unit?

Asked by: alysia0916
Thanks for your question, Alysia! While we are unable to say whether this wire would be compatible with your Havahart system, we can say that the wire is a solid-core, 20 gauge insulated copper wire.
