NewAir 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 148.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would not buy this product again and again. I use this portable room air conditioner in my summer home. I cannot move a window unit in and out by myself so this is a good solution. However the window bracket did not fit the window size so I had to cut it to fit with a hack saw. If you would include some soft foam with the unit that would help fill in some of the spaces. Also I have trouble with it popping out of the window. Do you people actually try to work with this in a real window? I have another one that is a Delonghi and have the same problem with it. I can forward a picture if you want where I am using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Portable A/C I bought this air conditioner to help cool down my detached apartment. It keeps the entire 600 square feet at a nice 69 degrees when the temperature outside is around 85. I highly recommend if you are looking for a good quality AC unit.

does the unit require window venting?

Asked by: dozerzone
Yes, this unit does require venting. You can use a window or cut a hole in the wall to vent the unit as long as you can keep things sealed well. There will be hot air coming from the hose that you don't want to let back into the room.
