This Blue Flame 20,000 BTU Liquid Propane Vent Free heater is the perfect supplemental heating solution even on the coldest days. This heater is conveniently equipped with a thermostat for superior control of the temperature in your space. Also, with a battery powered electronic ignition, starting it is a breeze - battery included. This unit can be permanently mounted to the wall or securely fastened to the floor with included mounting brackets and fasteners. A clean burning blue flame tube burner uses the natural convection of the burn to circulate warm comfortable air. with a factory standard Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS), rest assured this heater will provide you with years of comfortable and safe heat.

makes no sense; Instructions worthless

Instructions for the unit installation were written by a 2 year old that has no concept of what they are attempting to accomplish. Entire manual is one step away from jibberish (and I am being kind). The unit does not come with ANYTHING to hook it up to the gas line, and who the heck ever heard of a 3/8 inch npt street fitting?? (I never had). Unit says it comes with a triple A battery for the igniter, but it was not in the box. I had to go to my local plumbing supply house to get the fitting as no one in any of the large box stores (One starts with H, the other L) had no employee who understood what a npt fitting was, and then tried to sell me regular Teflon tape for the connections. The counter people at the plumbing supply house had a good laugh over my highlighting sections of the manual for this device....and least they helped me get the right parts and pieces to hook it up. AND do not ask Tractor Supply employees about this unit; I did and was told everything was in the box to hook it up.

Great little heater

I just set up this 20,000 BTU propane heater for a cold snap with temps 20's at night and upper 30's during the day. This heater is keeping me comfortable in a room around 1000 sq. ft. Quick set up connected to a 20 lb. tank that has lasted 3 days so far running 8 - 10 hours a day. Does so much more than an electric space heater and great if power goes out. Hope it lasts.

No tip-over safety feature.

I would have purchased another Mr. Heater radiant had I’d known prior to ordering that Mr. Heater blue flame does not have a ‘tip over’ safety feature as does the radiant.
Each time after igniting pilot when turning thermostat up toward #2 temperature setting there is a medium high pitch squealing until flame (not pilot) is turned off that is frightful. Once squeal stops temperature can be adjusted without issue.
This heater does heat room air well but, as expected, to do so requires a ceiling fan to push heat from ceiling to floor. CJ.D.

Whistling heater

I just bought this thing two days ago and hooked it up sprayed all fittings to make sure I had no gas leak and didn't so I turned it on and it immediately started whistling then the pilot light goes out I turned it back on whistled And it keeps going out I don't know what to do
