Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wrong item in Stock The store confirmed the unit was in Stock over the phone but I arrived to pick up the unit, it was NG, not LP. A prompt refund was issued and a rain check for the proper unit but it never arrive due to seasonal stocking changes. Then the price dropped and I still never was able to locate a correct unit. Better luck next freeze season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3rd time is a charm I had plumber install a new gas line and unit in the garage, there was a issue with the gas fitting on the bottom of the unit so I had to return it and pick up another after using it the 1st day on the lowest setting was a bad gas smell I turned the unit off & called my plumber, the unit during start up & shut down it was not igniting the gas he used his gas sniffer it was like radio active geiger counter he was surprised how much gas was in the air , I returned it again & got another new one which he reinstalled $$ The 3nd unit is good but you need more of a fan overhead or a bigger blower in the unit to take advantage of the heat. Waiting for the bill for the 2nd installation

Can I hook this heater up to a propane tank like the ones used on grills? And how long will it last?

Asked by: Bob416
Purchase a vent free heater designed for propane identified with a LP in the model number. I see you are identifying a Natural Gas fed heater. They are NOT interchangeable with propane. They can be connected to a 20# tank with 3/8" flare common with grills.

I noticed in one of your Q&A, your answer worded the 30, 000 natural gas heater didn't  come with the blower. I looked it up and stated that it comes with blower. Confused! Thanks

Asked by: Superflylgw1
Some retailers will offer the heater with the blower. Check with the retailer and have them answer that question for you. The way to identify a heater with a blower without opening the box is to look for "B" letter in model designation AFTER the numerals i.e. MHVFBF20(LPBT). in the parenthesis LP designates propane, B designates BLOWER included, T designates Thermostat included. Hope this helps.

If you add the blower, can it still be mounted on the wall and if so does that mean there will be a big gap between wall & heater?

Asked by: TitanT
Mounting on the wall is okay with the blower... follow the installation instructions where you will find clearance specs. Rich Mr Heater

My husband purchased this heater to use in his garage,we hooked everything up accordingly but it will not ignite. We have a gas well so is this unit not compatible? If not is there a unit we are able to use?

Asked by: lisa01
Thanks for your question. Well gas will not work with our heaters. Use natural gas as provided to your house or switch to propane. .
