Mr. Heater 30,000 BTU Blue Flame Liquid Propane Vent Free Wall Heater is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wen it works it's good. I bought this in November to heat my camp until i could get the regular furnace up and running. The first one I bought I could not keep the pilot light lite. After several failed attempts to get it to work it just would not stay lite. I returned it to Tractor supply for a different one and there was no problem Keeping the pilot lite for the first month. Now every month after that I have had problems keeping the pilot lite. It will run for a few days to a few weeks and for no reason it just will not keep the pilot lite. I'll have to turn off the heater and close the gas supply down for several hours just to get it to start working. Even then it's not a sure thing that the pilot will lite. The most frustrating thing is that when you leave for the day you never know if your going to have heat when you came back. Most recently it has been shutting down more often. I came up to the camp after being home for the weekend and the heater was off. Temperature was only 55 in the camp. I'm glad I wasn't gone any longer or my pipes would have been frozen and that would have been a mess. My net step is to try and clean it and if that doesn't work call the company for a replacement. If i would buy another heater I would buy the radiant heat type and not the blue flame. I would not recommend if you want a dependable heater. If you want one for the weekend retreat or camp that will only be used several days and not weeks at a time it would be good for that. Would not purchase again.

what is the driffence in blue flam e and other

Asked by: florist
Our vent free heaters come as either blue flame or radiant, the difference being; blue flame is considered convection style heating, which heats the air, and radiant heat heats objects, which in turn give off heat.

will my regulator that I use on my 20 pound tank to cook with work on this heater? same as the one on a gas grill ?

Asked by: ravensway
Thank you for your inquiry. The pressure for this unit needs to be measured at 11" W.C. going to the unit. We always recommend getting the unit installed by a licensed plumber in order to make sure the pressure is set properly. Please give us a call if you have any other questions at 1-855-663-0660.
