Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as intended I've used a 5 pound bucket thus far (year and half), as many gophers on my 2 acres, and it works better than other products I have tried. Going to town tomorrow to get another bucket!

Is this product pet safe. If my dog eats a gopher that has been killed by this product will it affect my dog at all?

Asked by: Road kill
This product should be applied underground and gophers will typically die underground in their burrows so the dog would have to do a considerable amount of digging to eat a gopher. The active ingredient, zinc phosphide, does not build up in the tissue of rodents, so it is highly unlikely a dog would feel adverse affects from eating an animal that was killed by this particular bait.

will this product goplher killer also kill moles

Asked by: jim5549
Moles and Gophers actually have entirely different diets - while the Gopher Killer product would kill a mole, it's unlikely that a mole would eat it. Gophers are herbivores, so they feed on roots, grasses, or other plants, and are attracted to a grain based pellet in the Gopher Killer. Moles, however, eat primarily earthworms, as well as grubs, and would not eat a pelleted product. We recommend Motomco Mole Killer, which mimics an earthworm, as an effective way to control moles.
