Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but The product works like it should but it’s made with cardboard made into the block that can’t be removed and can be ingested by the cows.

Since Fenbendazole is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used a wide range gastrointestinal parasites that can be administered to cattle, horse, donkeys, goats, sheep, and more.... why do you specify cattle only?

Asked by: Degjr
The product label only specifies that this can be used with cattle. There are no instructions for dosage on any other animal besides cattle, and we therefore can not advise off-label usage of this product. Please contact your veterinarian for more information.

I had just put wormer out and three hours later realized I intended to butcher an older cow for hamburger next month. I removed wormer but she had licked on it some. Do I still need to wait the full period before I have her butchered..

Asked by: Hahaha
Yes, to be safe you will need to wait the full 11 days following treatment before slaughter.

So just open the box and lay it down on ground since it's 'made' into the box? I thought it would be more like a block that you placed into a 'lick' container.

Asked by: leek69
You pull the top off and place it on the ground for the cows. After 3 days, you can pick up what's left and keep it for the next time you will need to dose them.

can I just put out leave it ?? will they eat to much??? if they do will it hurt them ? on 20 cows 600 pounds plus how many blocks to put out? how often should I deworm

Asked by: maze
This should only be left out for three days, not until its gone. It is essential to establish full cattle adaptation to supplemental block feeding prior to treating cattle with Safe-Guard® En-Pro-AL® Molasses Deworming Block (Medicated). Cattle behavior and per capita consumption must be established by feeding non-medicated En-Pro-AL® Blocks prior to medicated block treatment. Adaption to block feed intake for medicated treatment may take twelve (12) to nineteen (19) days prior exposure to unmedicated feed blocks depending on consumption rates and environmental conditions. When cattle block consumption of 0.1 pound (1.6 oz) per 100 pounds of body weight (or 1.0 lb for mature cattle) per day is attained for several days on the nonmedicated En-Pro-AL® Block, the three (3) day medicated treatment with Safe-Guard® En-Pro-AL® Molasses Deworming Supplement Blocks (Medicated) may begin. DOSAGE 1.67 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight per day for three (3) days. Total dose for the three (3) day period of 5 mg fenbendazole per kg of body weight (2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound). CONSULT YOUR VETERINARIAN FOR ASSISTANCE IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND CONTROL OF PARASITISM.
