Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT RABBIT WIRE! I bought this product for my 4 year old granddaughter to have a pet bunny!! However, never being a bunny owner, I thought it was built to PROTECT her little pet! I did not know it needed BUNNY WIRE until we found a black snake inside the cage that caused us to lose the bunny!! So I am warning others about the wiring NOT being enough to keep predators out!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not secure, not suitable for cold weather On the plus side, it's cute and relatively easy to assemble. However, it took about three weeks for our bunnies to break out of it by pushing on the largest wire panel and bending it out of the frame. It is also totally unsuitable for cold weather, the inner compartment is too large, the doorway is too large, and most importantly the "window" and the space under the roof are completely open to the outside air. There is no way the bunnies could keep warm in winter. If you want something cute to stick your bunnies in occasionally, it should be fine if you reinforce the big wire panel, but as a year round functional home it's worthless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adorable and super easy to put together This rabbit hutch is super cute! Really east and simple to put together. I have a 2 year old I was watching while assembling. I did change some screws around I have a large rabbit so just for stability added bigger screws. I do wish it was a tad bit bigger but its do able! We will we how long it lasts

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice looking We got this for my children, but whished I had more detail on the enclosure. The enclosure is a single floor ground level with no screen, or floor to keep the rabbits out of their feces, the metal tray has a wood edge around it. It slides easily in and out of the house. The window at the top is nice and in summer will allow for cross ventilation, but we are concerned about keeping them warmer in the winter months. We will probably cover the window to help. There is no screen under the cage so if you plan to put it in grass you will need to add one otherwise the rabbits will dig out. The access doors are nice and will allow easy access to the rabbits. It says that it is stained but I feel that it will not hold well in weather and we will be adding polyurethane to the painted areas on the outside of the hutch. With some modifications I think this will be a good bunny hutch. We will be adding a wire floor inside the hutch with possible a “loft” so the rabbits will not be on the ground level at all times.

Is it treated wood for outdoor use? we recently bought a hutch that was not. wanting to make sure the wood will not warp due to rain and sun exposure.

Asked by: hollz2008
It is stained. If you live in an area with a lot of rain or moisture, you may want to add a coat of clear polyurethane for additional protection.

is there 6 holes separate for rabbits or are all 6 rabbits housed in one hole?

Asked by: Brackett28
All 6 rabbits would be housed in one enclosed area, there are not six individual holes for each rabbit.

What type of wood is this made of and would it be safe to use a heat lamp in it?

Asked by: Sam8
This is made of Chinese Fir. The intensity of the heat lamp would determine if it would be safe to use.

How much space is between the fencing, just wondering if my ferrets could queeze through.

Asked by: Crissycmv1
It is a galvanized wire with 1.3 cm x 1.3 cm spacing. As long as the ferret is not aggressive, they will not be able to fit through the wire.
