Item Information

The Hoof Wraps Brand Equine Hoof Bandage is specifically designed with your horse's comfort and your convenience in mind. Hoof Wraps Brand can be safely used for common hoof care such as abscess, thrush, and stone bruise and can also be used for protection after shoe loss. When circumstances allow, you can treat or protect you horse and still allow them their freedom. It is a multi-use, multi-purpose bandage that is made with high quality, durable material so it stays on your horse and quickens healing.

Hoof Wraps Brand comes in one size that you can customize to your horse's hoof. The unique design allows the bandage to fit most standard horses with a hoof diameter between 4 in. to 5-1/2 in., which includes roughly 80% of all horses in America.

Hoof Wraps is made with 1600 denier ballistic nylon and reinforced with industrial stitching, so it's tough and stays on. You can reuse the bandage for several days up to 2 weeks or longer, depending on the horse and the conditions. It is machine washable and durable enough to use as back up hoof protection when your horse loses a shoe.

A step-by-step numbering system is printed directly on the bandage, so applying it on your horse is stress free and easy to understand. The bandage can be quickly removed, cleaned, and reapplied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great concept but needs much improvement I bought two of these for a horse who had multiple abcesses in both front feet. First problem is they are next to impossible to put on a horse by yourself, second problem is the convoluted attachment process, third problem is they don’t take into account the different shapes of feet, and fourth is the nylon was already shredding by the time I got the boot on the first time. The pads don’t last but one wearing because they don’t “rebound” to their original shape and the sticky velcro tabs don’t stick to the inside of the boot as they say they will. I could have bought MANY rolls of duct tape for what I paid for these things. The inventor needs to go back to the drawing board and do some redesigning using actual horses. The idea is fantastic but the end resulting product leaves much to be desired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good wrap, stayed on thru the mud! I changed the insole to a gel type, which seemed better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought this yesterday to help aid in the doctoring of a hoof access on a rambunctious gelding. Wasn't sure it would work, but it does. It stayed on through his trotting up and down the fence line. Make sure to follow directions and use the included pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to put on, ideal for various hoof issues I bought two of these when we were on holiday from the UK a couple of years ago, they have been one of the best equestrian items that I have ever purchased. My mare suffers with hoof abscesses and can be a touch laminitis, these wraps have been so useful, would highly recommend them ! Visiting again in June so will be stocking up on some more 10/10

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! I bough these to use on my horse in the stall. First they are very very hard to put on by yourself. I tried to but then a few times only to come in the next morning and find them off in the stall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helped save a hoof! I have a 20 yr. old mare prone to hoof problems after severing ligaments and tendons all the way to the bone when she was younger. The hoof grows out flared on the outer edge of the hoof wall, from the heel about a third of the way to the front of her foot. After days and days of rain, her hoof was so soft that debris got behind her hoof wall and she developed an abscess that came out at the coronet just a couple inches from her heel. Her soft hoof started to crack and I had to find a solution fast. High winds had damaged the lean-to with our only stall so I had to keep her out for several days. I went to Tractor Supply and found this hoof wrap and gave it a shot. I used Magic Cushion and the usual hoof wrapping for abscess treatment, then used this wrap to go over it all. Despite the ongoing rain and muddy areas in the paddock, the wrap stayed on and helped keep her hoof protected and dry. I'll always keep one in my hoof care box in the barn. The only thing that would make it better is if would conform to the hoof a little better at the heel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product hoof wrap I bought this product a few weeks ago , but didn't need to use it until recently. we did a corrective trim on my horse and it made her sore, put this pad and wrap on her and she walks just fine! When using this product you have to use the pad or the hoof will wear right through. she comes and goes from her stall as she wants and the outside is holding up very well . no ripping and this is the 3 day she is wearing it!! I would definitely buy another one if needed..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprising Product I bought this when my horse lost the same shoe 3 times in 2 weeks. I put it on him and turned him out in the pasture and surprisingly it stayed on! Now he wears it in the stall while we wait for the farrier to come and tack his shoe back on. The bottom is starting to tear a little, but he has been living in it for 5 days now and it was on in an extremely rocky pasture. If put on correctly it will stay on. My horse likes to play in the pasture and it didn't move. I will eventually have to stitch another outside layer on it, but the inside and velcro are holding up beautifully.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money I bought this to use on my 20 month old mare who over reached and tore a chunk out of her foot. I turned her out for 2 hours for 2 days and she tore it all to pieces and then pooped on it. Guess that tells you what she thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hoof Wraps Equine Hoof Bandage I love this hoof wrap! I am currently using this for an abscess. My horse lives outside 24/7! This wrap stands up to the abuse of being in use 24 hours per day in a dirt paddock. Fits perfectly over a hoof w/diaper and vetrap or just over a hoof. The wrap is secure and has never fallen off! I can not say enough good about this wrap and I definitely recommend it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of $ I purchased 2 of these, one for a stall bound horse and one for a horse in a small pasture. By morning, both horses were wrap free. Both wraps were still wrapped but off the hoof. Thought it was a great idea until we wasted the $ to get them. Duct tape, here we go again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work for me My horse has a deep subsolar abscess with toe pointing. This wrap did not stay on over a diaper wrapped with duct tape or a diaper wrapped with vetwrap. The duct tape still wins! I only attempted to use this wrap twice, and it's pretty much shredding. The velcro outlasts the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So simple! I bought these boots back in August 2013 when my gelding became laminitic. He was on stall rest for 2 months with Lily Pads wrapped in elasticon over his hooves. The elasticon allowed moisture to penetrate the hoof area while my gelding was stalled for such an extended period and he got thrush in his front feet to add insult to injury. I decided to try something different with the Hoof Wraps and I was blessed with an awesome result! Does not cut off coronary bands, is easy to apply and STAYS ON for stalled, lame animals. I would buy these 100x over for the same or like situation, was very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, affordable product I love this product; much better than duct tape or a cumbersome boot. It depends on the horse, the injury, and his living conditions, as with all equipment, if this product is for you. I treated an abscess and was able to turn my horse out and it stayed on throughout his treatment with no problem. I now have two wraps on hand for emergencies. I suggest watching the company's YouTube video for learning how to apply the bandage. I also use it for overnight treatments of thrush. Since it can be washed and re-used, it is affordable as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from you get what you pay for I used this on my horse because he had a bad stone bruise. The description says that this is good for pasture turnout, it is not. I even tried wrapping this hoof bandage with duct tape to get it to stay on and within an hour my horse would not have the wrap on. I would suggest using this wrap only if your horse could be stalled while wearing it.

My mare has sensitive feet and her feet are quite soft. We just need them to protect her feet while trail riding. That would be fine?

Asked by: Simpson1026
Yes, this product would work for this application.

Can these be worn while riding

Asked by: Simpson1026
This would entirely depend on what your horse is being treated for. We recommend partnering with your veterinarian to assure your horse's safety, but this product itself would not interfere with riding.
