I started with this welder then I started my trailer business. When it came time to replace it I went back with same model. They hold up to hard welding daily with little to no maintenance.

Great so far. Welds good. But very mad that they do not include a spring for the use is a 2lb wire spool. Real disappointment. It’s a Separate purchase in the spring is $15 plus shipping ridiculous they should include it with the price of the welder.

Great tool to have. Extremely versatile on welding different thicknesses, I primarily work with 18 gauge up to 3/8". Easy setup and smooth.

Terrible machine

Excellent welder, exceeded expectations. Welded new rocker panels on my fusion flawlessly.

Noticed it was missing the MiG gun nozzle before I bought it.was told they would get me a new nozzle.still not seen a new nozzle.should have went elsewhere

Exactly what I was looking for works great

Exactly what I was looking for versatile machine. Would recommend to buy.

I haven't used it much yet, but seems to work good. Pretty simple to operate with dials and such. Looks to be well made and I'm pleased with my purchase.

Works great as I knew it would. I'm not a welder by no means but this welder lays the prettiest beads even with me welding. It's like cheating. I'm sure a smaller welder would have done what I wanted but I stepped up to the 240 for future projects for me and my kids, hoping this will last us for years to come.

I should start this review off with a little background knowledge about myself. I’m not a welder by trade but rather by hobby. Prior to this purchase I had a very small amount of experience under my belt welding with significantly inferior machines compared to this beast. I decided I wanted to broaden my horizons and really hone in the skill of welding for my own personal gain and for the future ability to fix a piece of machinery I plan on purchasing. The last few weeks have been spent learning this machines capabilities and limitations in conjunction with my limited experience as a hobbyist welder. So far I can already say that this machine is capable of far more than I will ever throw at it. The thickest pieces of metal that I’ve welded together were 3/8ths and I was able to get a very solid connection with the machine not even closed to maxed out. I’m learning that my limitations are better observed on the thinner metal, which is where I’ve spent most of my time practicing. I can say that my expectation for this welder has been far surpassed and my only negative thing to say is that the only feature i believe is missing is a digital readout for voltage and wire speed. As I spend more time learning I can see how it could be useful to know precisely how much power and wire speed in inches is required for different materials. I would say that not having this feature would not deter me from purchasing this unit again. I have no regrets on this purchase and I would definitely recommend this welder to a friend wether their goal is to further their skills as a welder, start a business making money on the side welding, or use a machine for all day production.

Weld’s good No complaints so far

Have a red branded welder in 175amp. Works great but the duty cycle was killing me. After researching, decided on the ironman 240 which is 280a. I love this welder. Will run 50% power and out perform my other welder at max output while obtaining 100% duty. The slow start function is slightly tricky at first but not an issue unless welding overhead and then just changing your lead angle for a second will cure that as well.

It’s a beast, welds anything you need it too

I bought the Hobart because I could not find another Miller to purchase in town, to my surprise it does everything the Miller does at half the price. It is a machine I would recommend to anyone.

Works great even a beginner can quickly learn to weld with weld. Very Powerful machine.

I use this machine commercially in a high volume fabrication/welding shop. They are an excellent machine for the price. The only complaint I have is, the 240 doesn’t seem to be readily available at each store. I had to visit a store 40 miles away to get one. This is one of five machines that I have purchased from TSC. Two are 240’s and three are the 230’s. They have all surpassed my initial expectations.

Works very well, worth the money

TBH I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet, only test welds which went really well. I was was able to dial it in super fast and ran some nice welds. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because of the run-in feature which cannot be disabled. It's suppose to give you a cleaner start but I found it consistently spit and sputtered, making yacking kind of challenging.

Everything is made to break. This is as good as any top machine. I got 10 years out of the last one

I’ve only used it a little but it does what was expected. The parts, tips and wire are easy to get. Now I need some steel!

Im sure this machine us great but i haven't used it yet because when I plugged it in i flipped the on of switch and it did nothing. I investigated and fount the on off switch had been destroyed.
