Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Chick Feeder Decent chick feeder for a reasonable price from TSC Online. Arrived about a week after ordering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chick feed saver I use these for all of my chicks now, instead of the Mason jar type feeders. By simply not filling them to the brim, the top guard keeps most of the feed inside thereby reducing waste. For somewhat older chicks I screwed the base part to a 2x4 to raise it up a bit and weigh it down enough to prevent tipping as the feeder empties and gets lighter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from have some feed- not too messy Baby chicks can make such a mess in a hurry and these feeders work great in the brooder area. I even used them for a few hens to keep things tidy. It helped to loosen the slides a bit for getting feed in & out.

SO will the galvanized feeding trough work for hens?  I have 6 ladies and they are making a terrible mess.

Asked by: Lady Martha
You may have to purchase a couple of these so that the ladies will have room to peck, but it should work fine.
