Rated 5 out of 5 by from control the deer in our garden I was pleased with the look and price online. The timely delivery and pick-up at the store were smooth. The roll of fencing was not as heavy as I expected, and I could carry it around and position it. There were a few broken pieces at the top of some of the slats, but no big deal!

Are they really as dark as the picture shows? We are looking for something that looks genuinely like a sand dune fence.

Asked by: NauticalDad2019
Snow fence is really this dark – it has a reddish dye for visibility.

It say 19" high and wide, but listing title says 4ft high?  Which is it? Is it a 50 ft. Long roll?

Asked by: Jbline
The measurement is a little confusing. Yes, the fencing is 4ft tall and 50ft long. The measurements shown, 19" x 19" x 48", are for the fence when rolled up.

What is the weight of each roll? What is the measurements of the wooden slats? Is the wood aspen or spruce? Is the wire galvanized?

Asked by: Rolling Hills

What is the Gap between the slats?

Asked by: snowdaze
The gap between the slats is 2.1/2" Give or take at least 5/8" due to the wire.

Does this stake into the ground?

Asked by: Mhartman748393
No. We recommend using tposts in the ground and attach snad/snow fence to the tposts using zip ties or wire.

Is the wood pressure treated wood? What's the longevity of it?

Asked by: Robfox
The wood is not pressure treated – it is typically wood that is dyed for visibility. The dye does not preserve it though. The lathe strips are thin and dry out quickly which helps the longevity of the wood. Moisture is what mostly decays wood. The wire is galvanized and lasts. Typically, depending on conditions, snow fence should last 2+ years.
