GroundWork Pasture Fertilizer 16-6-16, 50 lb. is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lawn Fertilizer For Heavy Clay Soil I used this 16-6-16 fertilizer over typical lawn fertilizer because hard clay soil needs a lot of Potassium (K) and after each application, the grass was thriving. A light application once a month works best for me and lower inputs of nitrogen (N) help to reduce disease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Very pleased! Live on the Space Coast in Florida. My daughter and I fertilized a small horse pasture (2 acres) using a push fertilizer and a hand fertilizer, (not so easy but it worked). The application directions were perfect. We had about one pound lest over. After ample rain the pastures are growing again and beautiful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clumpy fertilizer I just applied yesterday and was somewhat frustrated as there were many clumps in the bag. This made applying difficult at best. The issue may be that this product needs to be stored indoors in a dryer environment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clumps The fertilizer may be good don’t know yet.But the stuff will not work in a spreader because there are clumps in it. Had to do it by hand, only way you can do it..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GroundWorks 16-6-16 To reduce phosphate level while sustaining a balanced Nitrogen and Potassium level, this fertilizer proved of great benefit, both in garden and on centipede lawn. Ground Works may call it a "Pasture Fertilizer", but its analysis says "optimum fertilizer" for home use. If one needs more nitrogen, mix in some 34-0-0. For more potassium, mix in some potassium sulphate [muriate of potash]. This fertilizer does not radically modify soil pH as do many of the large name brands.

Is this pet friendly.

Asked by: Papaked
It is always best to keep pets off of the chemical fertilizer until melted by rain or moisture. Once the granules are melted by moisture, it is safe.

Will this burn a freshly seeded pasture that is currently sprouts?

Asked by: Thebigc91
Waiting until there is adequate growth on the new seedlings before applying fertilizer is recommended, because otherwise the sprouting seed leaflets might possibly burn.
