Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soaking wet. Clogged the spreader, ruined pasture I bought this 3 days ago. Bags were unopened. Opened the first bag, poured into spreader, fine no problems. Come back for refill, poured next 2 bags and went on my way. Somewhere on 3rd row, I notice nothing coming out of spreader. Investigation showed inside the bags, probably at bottom or center, the fertilizer was wet! Clogged the spreader. I have no clue what got done and what didn’t til I noticed, trying to clear it I got spills. On my pasture! I’m furious. How do you sell product you know was left out or not fresh? So now I have to wait to see how much I missed and how many burned patches I have on my beautiful horse pasture. Don’t buy this! You will regret it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pasture fertilizer We just bought this fertilizer for the first time. When we opened up the bags the first one was great and spread well. We opened up the second bag and all of the fertilizer was wet, we opened up 2 more bags and the same thing. We were unable to use the spreader with the fertilizer due to all of the fertilizer stuck together. What little we put down I hope works. Unfortunately we had a lot of bags we were unable to use because they were wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fertilizer worked well. I purchased this item to be used a little later in the season. It was on sale and I bought for that sale price. I have used it last year and was very satisfied.

If being used for a horse pasture, how long should I keep the horses off the field?

Can this be applied to an area where I have Pet Goats? Will it provide any weed killing benefits (I know, the goats like weeds). If needed, I could keep the goats off this area for a couple weeks. I'm looking for this as a fall fertilizer. Thanks!

I have new piece of land I’m making into a pasture. Can you apply fertilizer and grass seed at the same time?

Can this be diluted in water and spread with a sprayer?

Asked by: StellaLove
This is not advised or recommended. The recommendation is to apply the dry fertilizer to the grass, then water it or in natural rainfall to melt the particles.

I had great success with the pasture seed sprouting fast. I even decided to spread a bigger section. Will this burn the section I just spread as it has not yet sprouted?

Asked by: Thebigc91
This can be applied to soil as long as there is not seed to fertilizer contact. It probably is better to wait until seed is up just to be safe.
