Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killed my clover It took about a week to see results but it killed the clover. Other broad leaf weeds showed signs of dying after a day. This is great stuff for broad leaf, clover, and young crabgrass looking grass. I know it wasn't crabgrass maybe goosegrass? Either way it took care of my undesirable plants.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I bought this product to control the crabgrass and broad leaf weeds in my yard. The label says apply 2.5 Fl OZ per gallon. My hose end sprayer has a 2 and 3 FL OZ per gallon setting so I applied at 3 FL. OZ per gallon. It seems to be slowing the crabgrass down but did not do much to the broad leaf weed. The edges of the dandelions curled up a little but after 3 days were back to normal. I applied a second treatment with the same results. I will not buy this product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money I have several rental houses and have sprayed weeds every year for the last 30 years and have had good effects with other chemicals. This year I decided to try a gallon of Trimec Crabgrass Killer since it was sold at my local tractor supply store and mixed at 6.4 oz per gallons as required for my sprayer. Three weeks later the weeds are still green and growing. It had no effect on any of my weeds or crabgrass. Will not buy another Gordon product again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One of the few crabgrass killers I am glad u offer this product as it is difficult to find anymore-I have used Trimec plus before-it is difficult to get the concentration right as to much kills areas in lawn and if u are a little light-It doesn’t kill-so I always have to spray areas again. I have a large yard and it is expensive to have to retreat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the real deal After looking at the pro vesion of this i see that this is approx 25% strength. This means you need to use 4x the recommended amount for real results. That makes this no longer cost effective.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from read the lable review is WRONG! .Read the label should read the label.. •Controls emerged grassy weeds such as crabgrass, foxtail, and signalgrass
Date published: 2018-06-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from PRE EMERGENT Please read the instructions. It will not kill crabgrass that is growing. In GA spray Feb 15 and Marxh 15. Once crabgrass has germinated you are done for the year. Spray it feb 15 and march 15 and you will not write a bad review. Crabgrass cannot be allowed to germinate. Thats why so many people complain about weed killers. They wait till they have a yard full of crabgrass then cry when it doesnt work. “Crabgrass preventer”. Not crabgrass killer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trimec Doesn't work as well as it claims. Mixed 3 oz to a gallon. No effect

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does NOT kill crabgrass I have used this product for 3 years thinking with hopes that "this time" it will work. I thought maybe I didn't mix or apply it correctly or got a bad jug, etc. Nope. Nothing. As a matter of fact, the crabgrass seems to grow BETTER the more I use it. Never again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gordon's TRIMEC Crabgrass killer I bought a gallon of the Trimec Crabgrass killer and began to spot spray the crabgrass in my lawn which is zoysia and beautiful if the weedy carbgrass wasn't there. The Trimec turns the crabgrass yellow for a few weeks, but it always comes back stronger than ever. If you used too much of the solution, it will kill all grasses. I don't know how to get rid of crabgrass without using ROUNDUP. I have used the preventers in late winter and early spring, but haven't had any luck with them either. Once the crabgrass goes to seed which it will do every week between mowings, you'll have 100's of seeds on each antenna shoot. I have used the entire gallon of Trimec and have more crabgrass than ever before. TROUBLED!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not So Great After two applications, my crabgrass is still going strong. It works fine on weeds but won't touch the crabgrass. I do not recommend this stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neighbor Approved Before I purchased my house last fall, the previous owner had sodded the entire yard a few years prior and did not care for the sod allowing the yard to grow into a weedy mess. This spring I decided to regain control on the lawn. Within one day of applying the weeds in my lawn began wilting and curling. 3 months after applying this to my lawn my neighbors on both sides of me asked what I put on my lawn to get rid of all of the weeds and let the turf establish so well. Only one product has been applied - Thank you Gordon's Trimec Crabgrass Plus for a beautiful lawn!

How soon after new grass starts to grow can I use this to kill the weeds? I live in Iowa and my new lawn is tall fescue and k31 fescue. New grass height is roughly 2 inches.

Asked by: Luke28
New grass needs to grow enough that you have mowed it 2-3 times before applying a herbicide. We want to make sure the new grass is strong enough that the herbicide will not cause injury.

Hi, we live in south Texas and battle grassy weeds: GooseGrass; JohnsonGrass; CrabGrass; Blue Stem; Nutsedge; DaliGrass; and Sand Burs.  Will Crabgrass Plus be effective against each?  If not, what would you recommend?

Asked by: JosephM
Trimec Crabgrass Plus will control crabgrass. It will not do anything for the other grassy weeds you listed. Trimec Nutsedge Plus can be used for nutsedge. We do not have a product that will selectively remove the other grasses from an existing lawn. Trimec Crabgrass Plus is not labeled for use on St Augustine or centipede grass lawns.
