Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Worked great. Took out the broadleafs pretty well. The poison ivy wasn't phased, though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's doing it's job. Used this product to help rid my food plot of weeds for this upcoming deer season. Seems to work great. The instructions for broadcasting could be a little easier to follow but I was able to to figure out what ratio I needed per my sq footage.

Will it kill Purple Dead Nettle?

Asked by: RJLeslie
LV 400 should control deadnettle though applications this late in the spring may not be as effective. It will be dying off shortly with the heat of summer. The best time for control is in the fall.

If I spay this around my pond is it safe or will it kill my fish? Also I have several trees, will it hurt my trees? And lastly will it kill goat weed?

Asked by: brad8445
As long as you do not get any directly into the water source, it will not harm your fish. As long as you do not get any directly onto the foliage of the tree, it will not hurt your tree. LV 400 is not labeled to kill goat weed.

dose it better than 2 4 d 400

Asked by: buddy the farmer
Per the Vendor: Both the Amine 400 and LV 400 are 2,4-D herbicides that are labeled for use on pastures and lawns. Amine 400 is an amine formulation of 2,4-D that is a good general herbicide that will control weeds like dandelion and thistles. It is best applied in temperatures between 65-85 degrees. LV 400 is an ester formulation of 2,4-D that penetrates into tougher weeds better than the amine. It works better in the cooler weather of spring or fall when temperatures are between 50-80 degrees.

how long after spraying can I re-seed and what is the advantage of using a solvent free product thats almost twice a much. is it worth it and why?

Asked by: smac61
You would need to wait at least 3-4 weeks to reseed after using LV 400. LV 400 is an ester form of 2,4-D. It works better on brush and difficult weeds than Amine 400. It also does better in the cooler weather of spring and fall than amine formulations.

What is the main difference between this product & Gordon's LAWN weed killer? Can this product be safely used on northern lawns?

Asked by: Joon999
Trimec Lawn Weed Killer is a 3-way herbicide. It has three active ingredients to provide a more wide range of weed kill. LV 400 has just one active ingredient but will do a very good job with weed control on northern lawns in temperatures under 85 degrees.
