Rated 5 out of 5 by from best product for wet or weeping wounds WHile this was developed for horses and cattle it is the best thing to use for hot spots on dogs or for any wounds that don't heal quickly due to moisture. I have working retrievers, always wet and this is what I use for any messy wounds. Also a great fly repellent and anti-itch. Dogs don't touch it when it's applied and don't mind application as it's a dust. Cheap and efficient,- all the farmers where I live use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product Every spring when the weather starts getting hot, two of my dogs will get a hot spot under their heavy coats. The only thing that I have been able to find that works really well and fast, is Wonder Dust. The dust covers the hot spot and lets the wound heal quickly. My dogs dont mess with it so that tells me that the dust helps with itching while healing. I very much recommend this product for hot spots on dogs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonder Dust Awesome product! I can not say enough about this product. I have used it on our rescue horses and have healed them with min. to no scars. I have had people tell me I should be using these new products such as vetracin, but I have no reason to change for WD has done a great job and has given me no reason to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Wonder Dust When we purchased our horse 2 years ago, we did not realize how bad his skin & coat was until we gave him a thorough bath. You see, our horse was a rescue animal. We rescued him from a life of starvation & mistreatment. Once we got him cleaned up, he had wounds all over his body. We washed him with betadine shampoo & when he dried, we covered him in Wonder Dust on those wounds. Well, I tell ya, it does what it says & more. He started healing right away & within a few weeks he had new skin growing & his hair starting coming back. I highly recommend Wonder Dust for any skin problems that a horse may have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must-Have for Every Tack Room! I make sure to always have Wonder Dust on hand just in case. This stuff stops bleeding so quickly. Then I keep re-applying to keep wounds dry. And no proud flesh. Very good product.

In an emergency, I have even put on a chainsaw cut(of my Dad) We were in the middle of the forest and I had access to Wonder Dust and vetrap. I keep a bottle in the barn, in the horse trailer and in the house.

Once the wound is dried over but a small bump of extra flesh is still present should I continue to use it, and for how long?

Asked by: Bonnie2
We would recommend that you contact your veterinarian. Without seeing what the "new bump" is on the horse, it is hard to make a recommendation.
